When you see him next to other players it's so obvious that he's still a boy. He'll develop naturally of course, but physicality is a factor in football, which is why I'm not remotely worried he's just being eased in. That's not to say he'll ever be a muscle bound monster, but he does still have a fair bit of physical maturing to do yet. The press whining that he ought to be starting every game is nonsense on multiple levels. He's a kid.

First of all, absolutely chuffed to bits for the lad. The emotion was there for all to see in that celebration, not sure I’d have been able to be that controlled as a 17 year old, well even at 35 I’d struggle. Brilliant finish, hit with such confidence and control.

You only have to look at Bernardo to see that physicality (in the old fashioned sense) isn’t an issue, we defend by pressing and outnumbering teams high up the pitch. It’s not like he’ll be constantly defending set pieces against Troy Deeney.

In the interests of just trying to get him on the pitch as much as possible, I'd be quite interested to see him on the left when Mendy plays.

Mendy would obviously overlap so Foden would be narrower than a winger, kind of in that role Nasri and Silva played in Pellegrini's 442. He played out wide pretty often for England's u17's and he's a serious goal threat, and I actually think he'd give Mendy more protection than Sané or Mahrez because he works so hard.

Obviously we want to see him in the middle as much as possible, but if it got him a few more games, I think it would work quite well.

He showing that X factor yet @johnnytapia ?

Or do you still think he won’t make it at City?
Delighted for him. Bit more to be done before the eulogies come out, but great to see him play so well and score.
(Good to see you follow me so closely as well, hadn't realised I'd quite hit such a raw nerve in you. Do keep in touch).

He hasn't retired, and he's most certainly not dead.
