He really wanted a goal today, it'll come soon enough if he keeps playing like that.

Gundogan out for 3 weeks so hopefully lots more minutes for Phil coming up.

Already scored for us and will score many many more.

He was seriously good when he came on today. Not just a promising local kid, he was genuinely eye catching.
He is gaining confidence by the week and he's growing in stature. He genuinely brings a new dimension when he gets the ball as he has no other thought than driving forward into space, which puts the opposition immediately on the back foot as they struggle to contain his movement and jinks.

Not at home though in front of 50,000 City fans.

It's good, he doesn't look like he's just happy to get on the pitch anymore, he looks like he really wants to do something with his minutes and make a case for getting more.

His close control and balance is amazing. He's getting pushed around by guys twice his size but he manages to keep the ball and play his way out of trouble.

That’s true, it will be a special moment for him.

I agree, very eager to make things happen, basically the opposite of Ilkay. Think he’ll take his spot by the end of the season.

Slotted in seamlessly and some of his one touch play is sublime , cant believe he is only 17 (or maybe 18 ? not sure) a long time since i have seen an English player looking so comfortable on the ball and showing vision way beyond his years , if he can avoid injuries he will eventually be too good to be left out of our starting line up , Phil Foden he's one of our own ;)

That passage of play which should of resulted in a goal from Jesus, was sublime... one touch movement a seasoned pro would be proud of

His first real involvment in the play, a lovely back heel, one touch passing and a great cross, was superb. Looks so so easy for him to slot in. Can't wait to see him start and boss a game.
