Top performance yesterday and if he keeps improving losing Silva in 2 years will be almost unnoticeable

Looked good yesterday, hopefully gets more minutes but can't see him getting in ahead of anyone else sadly.

Because he’s 18 and it doesn’t put too much pressure on him.

There certainly won't be any pressure when he's not even on the bench for most games.

God forbid an 18 year old ended up on the bench every week, there's no chance he could take it. Everyone knows you need to be at least 19 or 20 before that's an option.

God I wish you were our manager.

What a weak cop out.

I'm fine with Pep's management of Foden by the way, he's doing what's best for Manchester City, but for Phil Foden individually, a situation where he's not watching from the stands more often than not would clearly be better.

What a cop out.
Not a cop out. You’re one of the dozen or so posters on here that think you know absolutely fucking everything about football, footballers, tactics and every fucking thing in between.

Foden is coming on very well under Pep’s tutelage. He’s the youngest PL medal holder, he’s a mile ahead of Silva at the same age and he’s training every day with some of the best players on the planet and under the eye of the best manager on the planet.

He doesn’t need to play every week, he’s likely to get 20-30 games this season and that’s perfect for his age. He doesn’t need to burn out or have too much weight on his shoulders. I couldn’t be happier with how he’s being managed and certainly couldn’t give a fuck what the footballing Champ Manager know all’s on here think.

Just a quick reminder of what I said - being 5th choice for his position and needing to get past 4 full internationals to get on the pitch, and spending most of his time not even on the bench isn't ideal.

Saying that doesn't mean I think Foden's in a terrible position, or that he's not going to develop or ever play, which is what you're so desperate to pretend I've said.

If you're going to pretend I said he's in a terrible spot, or pretend he couldn't possible cope with being, say, 4th choice in his preferred position, go ahead, it's bollocks.
