Phil Foden to leave England camp

I wasn't being pedantic. You clearly stated they took people into the bubble. I simply replied they did not.
They did mate. Coming into contact with somebody from outside your bubble introduces them into your bubble. That's why I can't go out to my shed and knob a couple of Icelandic girls with massive fiveheads without introducing them into my wifes bubble.

Tell you what, there’s no defending him with this.

Young people all over the country are flaunting rules, breaking the law and being dicks with regards to COVID. These dickheads seeing role models their own age like Foden (and Greenwood) also being dickheads and flaunting COVID rules and England rules just hammers home the wrong message to the youth across the country.

Phil’s being paid a fucking lot of money to act professionally. He’s not acted professionally here.

School staff will be trying really hard to enforce rules, laws and common sense to young people over the coming weeks, yet many will just think “well Phil Foden (and Mason Greenwood) can get a few prozzies round to their hotel, they’re cool as fuck, you’re not Miss”!

And how does Rebecca Cooke (Phil’s girlfriend and Mother of his kid) feel about this?

For some reason I thought more of Phil than this, he’s gone right down in my estimations.

Again, just another story to emphasise my belief that footballers are all cunts!

Bearing in mind, Foden is still a kid in amongst the very people that you say are his peers. Did you lead by example in your peer group being paid tons of money or not? Do you think that people thought you were no fun, if so?

I know I was way too old for my similarly aged peer group and acted like a twat later on trying to re-enact that youth and freedom, so I would rather Foden get it out of his system now and develop mentally and socially as well as responsibly for his son, in the main.

His partner? Well, it takes two to make a baby and I'm sure she's as 'good as gold' as anyone can be getting preggers at such an early age with a footballing fella and all that money and social media attention with fame and...

Well, maybe I'm a little cynical, but she has the Colleen Rooney road to her own 'respect', should she need a way forward...

Begs the question as to whether lads of 20 should then be off representing their country then?

Phil and people in his position are not held to the same standards as other 20 year olds and they should know that.

How does this make it any more Foden's fault?

Haven't you heard of 60+M players getting drunk, accused of stuff where women are concerned etc?

Those players seem to know what "standards" they're held to and STILL make fuck ups!! Putting your standard upon someone else doesn't mean that person should act in the same way YOU expect them to!!

Remember Miss britney Spears and the high standard she was held to and what happened with her..?!

My point is, they're Human and it's up to them to build their own standards to reach, not everyone else's.

Again, I hope he learns for his own sakes and development.

Aye things have moved on since this morning fella! Think Phil was playing the wingman role tbh as Greenwood had been contacting said girls for a couple of days, turns out I was wrong in my blind faith but I only had the expectations of most blues who feel let down/outraged etc, I was judging what I saw and would reply the same 100 times out of 100 which is always innocent until proven guilty, I certainly wasn’t going to jump on the lad like the twitteratti & doomongers on ere
Let down? Outraged? Give over.

On reflection I realise my posts have been very negative and very abrupt on this thread and pretty dismissive of Phils "reasons or mental state" by fellow posters but we have all suffered betrayal in our lives and it makes you very strict and confrontational on personal views of infidelity so my apologies. My father with a bird at work to my mother was my experience. Tore my family apart. Hence why my emphasis is on his poor mrs and baby. I imagine fellow blues have had their run ins with this kind of thing too and also been affected. My question now though is as punishment goes the club and country can not really do anymore than tell him he's an irresponsible fool and fine him but what do blues actually wanna see done because there isn't really much more can be done? From a personal standpoint he is a City player and that is about as far as my support now goes for him. I love City and will support him in our colours but him personally no. Don't get me wrong I loved Phil because I thought he was a genuine down to earth lad and being a blue he was living the dream we could all only imagine and he was "one of our own" but this, nah.
I've been a 19yr old lad forced into becoming a father. You know fuck all about his domestic situation or relationships.
