What I want is for him to be in the team on merit, like Maffeo has had to do at Girona.
Aleix Garcia and Douglas Luiz got more minutes than they would have here, while the Maffeo's make it worth it. These players will be gaining valuable experience regardless. Machín is a class coach. I hope we take Maffeo back here next season and maybe loan Herrera, Manu García or Angeliño there next year.I'm not saying its a vendetta or begrudging them in the slightest, it's Machin's arse and Girona's future on the line if they got relegated after all, I'm just saying there isn't any point in loaning players to clubs where they aren't going to play - just because they're affiliated with the CFG. If Girona are going to be pragmatic and not touch our loanees because they're a greater risk then so be it, we may as well find a different club where they are going to play.
And as to not wanting them to be immediate first choice... well I really don't understand what you want from loans if it isn't to play football week in week out. If they fight for half the season just to get minutes they may as well be playing the cups and with the EDS here instead. First team minutes are the only way players will either get noticed by Pep or the moves they want elsewhere.

Or maybe he is good enough to stay here?So he's not returning to them on loan? Maybe we're sending him to Girona?
Don't understand why we didn't loan out Tosin in January. Apparently there were some offers, and I don't think he has played a minute since the transfer windowHe certainly gets a few weeks before the World Cup crew are back to impress Pep. No doubt he can take a look at him before sending him out on loan.
Be interesting to see what we do with Tosin also. He is almost training cone at the minute.

Mojica is only on loan at Girona. I don't know if they'll go for him permanently, Angeliño would be a replacement for him should he not be there next season.. Herrera, if he went, would replace BOTH Aleix García and Douglas Luiz (first choice back-up to Grannell/Pons).Manu Garcia to Girona would be a complete and utter waste. He doesn't suit their style of football and they don't even have a position for him to play in. Angelino would be different on that front, but Mojica is one of their best players so they wouldn't want a LB/LWB anyway and it would be a bad loan for that reason
Same goes for Herrera, who'd play in the position of the captain, Granell, or Pere Pons who's probably Girona's best player and certainly undroppable.
This is what people mean when they talk about thinking out loans better.

You may be right with Manu. Although I think he could possibly rotate with Borja García.
Mojica may well be snapped up by a bigger club who offer more money.Mojica is going to be permanent, why wouldn't he? He's been great and he's moving up from Rayo to Girona.
Aleix Garcia and Douglas Costa have both barely played so Herrera replacing them would be a massive waste of a season for him.

I don't know about Garcia/Douglas exactly. Doulas Luiz has played 17 times and García has played 20. Combine the playing time, add to that Pons/Granell are unlikely to stay fit all season like they have this season (they've missed a handful of games between them).
and Douglas Costa is doing pretty well at Juve I believe ;)
12 games in La Liga is a big step up from 20 in MLS. Not to mention, I personally believe he's a better player than Luiz and a more useful player than García (who is technically excellent but pretty slow and specialist). I could see him getting into the first team over a 2 year loan. He's very good.Played 17 times/ Played 20 times certainly sounds better than 300/800 minutes respectively about 12 games worth of minutes, I'm sure he just can't wait!
Ajax are not interested in playing loanees. They rather promote some of their ownIf we are seriously interested in de Ligt or F. De Jong, I would send Sandler to Ajax on loan.
