my old fella had to take my mum out shopping when we were playing away, and i used to stay in doing my airfix models on a saturday afternoon,i always had piccadiilly on,that 15 seconds of dread after hearing the ,oh no. only to find out that is was rochdale or bury was somthing you had to live through to understand.
Takes me back that does. The disappointment of the "it's a goal" ... ..."it's a late consolation at Spotland..."

And James H was indeed a legend.

Remember listening to the 6 -0 drubbing against Derby some years back (1990ish?) on Piccadilly and that "oh no!" noise seemed to be stuck on repeat at one point

1989 was there
:(

So; just to avoid confusion. James H was a legend; is that right?

Brilliant! Reading this has made my day

It made listening to to football on the radio 100% less shit and much moe exciting

Is there even such a thing as 'Picadilly Radio' anymore?

I sometimes see JHR at games, what a brilliant broadcaster. Is he on our airwaves in any capacity at the moment?
