Pictures of your Dog

My youngest Beagle (Oak) in intensive care tonight having been hit by a car earlier today. Definitely a broken shoulder and leg and possibly internal injuries. Praying she makes the night
Fingers crossed for her.

Thanks all, it's been a difficult month,Wife has cancer growth removed of her face, one week later mother in law diagnosed with stage 4 terminal Cancer and move into our house (and it's tough looking after her ) then this morning an insistent walk with my Three dogs and Oak on the way home slip's her collar, and being a typical beagle welcome's her "new found freedom" runs into a busy road straight into a car. ! TBF The driver stopped and was pretty cut cut , I picked her up and a passer by got me in her car and straight to the emergency vets . One arriving being told she's crashing and might not make the next hour to tonight at 6pm being told she's stable but heavily sedated. I tried to post a picture of her in her crib tonight but I'm not that technically minded! ( It goes with my age) now have a very large scotch watching the darts to take my mind off what will be a long night.
Sounds like you’re due some luck.
Hopefully all works out for you.

Sorry for your woes mate, one of my beagles has done the same and slipped his collar fortunately got him back quickly before he came to any harm.
Hope all goes well on all fronts.

Really sorry to hear that mate. Got my fingers crossed for you and Oak.

Oak update, firstly thanks for the kind words of support. I've just driven her to Winchester where she'll be operated on immediately after Xmas. The vet in Worthing was more positive about her 24hrs on. Her shoulder and front leg is broken not sure about internal injuries yet.as she's not insured I'll be starting a Go fund Me page ! LOL ,Vets certainly no how to charge ATM it's £7500 and rising! Happy Xmas all

Sorry I missed this mate, little fuckers aren’t they, had so many close calls and near misses in the early days with mine so know exactly how that one goes, hope she’s doing ok .

How is she
Oak was out of intensive care on 27th and operated on the 28th, I collected her on Saturday and she's recovering here at home, living in a crate for most of the day, to discourse her moving too much. She's managing to put weight on both hind and fore leg and hobbles for a walk for five mins Three times a day. Six to eight weeks befshes out of the woods all together.I wrote to the highways department,MP and Tesco yesterday because the road where it happened is busy but motorists and delivery drivers servicing Tesco park their vehicles on the double yellows immediately outside the shop, and this contributed to the accident on 23rd. A couple of witnesses have come forward one with pic's taken at the time of the accident. Its cost me just over £12500 in vets fees up to now. Also the driver though he stopped,he failed to report the accident to the police, which he should have done within 24hrs.

Good to hear mate, I know it’s difficult given the already high costs, but have they mentioned ‘Hydrotherapy’ to you as an option at all ?

Have you sorted a go funding link yet , I’d be happy to contribute as I’m sure others on here would.

Not yet I'm not that technically minded, however I was offered by a third party to have one set up however I haven't had any response to my messages sent only yesterday. But if I manage to have one set up I'll let you know. Many thanks

One of my dogs had a broken leg and i used to walk her using a 'handle' i made out of webbing. Went under her chest and had handles like a handbag, which i held, taking all the weight off and making it easier for her to walk on the other 3 legs. I lokked a bit of a dick but it worked a treat.

Blue and Bess, best mates.
