Pictures of your Dog

Not a photo but we are having no end of bother with our neighbours over our dog. They kicked off initially when Cali came for a visit from the Dogs Trust. Cali had been in for nearly a year and came in with 10 pups. None of them had ever been to see a vet so Cali had a go at the vet. Hence she had to wear a muzzle. She had been "kick trained " and was very wary of men especially when out with my wife and would try to protect her. On her visit she had a lunge at another dog.
However, she is now very friendly and loves playing and actively goes to meet people. The most loving dog I have ever had.
Now when my wife goes out with her the guy who lives next door watches her constantly when she is leaving or returning and pulls snide faces at my wife. My wife has suffered from anxiety and depression for years and Cali has really helped her. However, due to our neighbours behaviour both her and the dog appear to be regressing. Does anyone have any suggestions? I have had a quiet word with them but they persist. I know my wife isn't over reacting as I have seen them spying on her myself

What an awful situation for your wife but also you and the dog. I would keep a written log of the times your wife feels , stalked or threatened by your neighbours behaviour. What is their problem with the dog? I can’t stand it when people use this passive aggressive bullying or whatever to intimidate.

Bad neighbours can be an awful experience, and little (lawfully) can be done. To target your wife is the action of a weak man, and your dog, rightly, will try to protect her, though it comes at the price of your wife's upset and your dog's exacerbated fear of men.
I wish you well. The advice of keeping a log is good, but only useful if you intend to use it to inform the police of what is going on. Unfortunately, in these cases, the police may offer little tangible support, and that will only add to the distress. If it is at all possible to ignore, do so in the hope that it will stop. If you know that is not going to be the case, then a proper word may be the only way.

Thanks for the advice. Will keep a log. We know a local policeman so will mention it to him.

Ha. I was wondering if anyone would cop that.
He has a crate, which he sleeps in over night.
He has an outside kennel with bed, that he hasn’t been trained to yet but has checked out.
He has the one you see him on beside the radiator in the back room of the house……

But of course his absolute favourite position is on an old duvet, which the missus has put a black cover on. He comes in when we’re watching tv and crashes out on that. Loves it. Just shows you don’t need to buy expensive doggie beds. He just wants to be wherever we are.

Spoilt rotten already. ;-)
