Nice to hear the glass is now half full mate. ;)Guess I was wrong then. Good.
Dortmund colours too! It's been settled for a while; just legal smallprint shit being finalised.
Not taking anything personal, mate. Most of the people calling for Silva to be shipped out spend most of their day chatting bollocks and trying to wind people up, I don't take them too seriously. You seem to actually have an idea about football, that's why I'm curious on your stance with Silva.
It's going to be horses for courses next year. We're not going to play the same shape and the same personnel in every game, we're going to change based on the opposition.
As I said to SWP, I'm not suggesting DeBruyne hasn't got a big part to play. I'm sure he'll be very important for us. But this repeated suggestion I keep seeing that Silva isn't going to be suited to playing in a Pep team, is completely wide of the mark in my view. He probably won't play much as a winger in a 433, but if he can get injury free he'll be a very important player for us for a while yet.
I agree on the flexibility, the strength in depth next year (should the transfers come off), is going to be the envy of most of Europe, different permutations, tactics etc, this is what I'm more excited about, I love chess and the adaptability of game during the event, not after.. Peps ability to change our identity is probably going to be the single most important event since the takeover as it is a vision of 20 years down the line...
I'm not saying silva is finished either, he'll have his part to play determined by the opposition I guess.... However, what we can both agree on is that next year is going to be immense for those who enjoy the tactical side of the game....
To get back on topic, where do you see Auba playing?? Personally I can see him in behind aguero on occasion, with sterling and KDB interchangeable, those three can all play wide and as a number 10, will send a few dizzy if it's how I think it will be!!
Even with Aubameyang added we'll still need to add at least 1 more striker. Our current options are Aguero, Bony, Iheanacho and (potentially) Aubameyang, which means for 6 weeks, from Christmas onwards, we'll have Aguero only as the other 3 jet off to yet another African Cup of Fucking Nations.
