Well ok although the acrimony in the band was there for all, during the recording of Animals, and the huge Animals tour which followed. Gilmore only has one writing credit on that LP and in fact only sang on Dogs. During the tour Waters famously spat in a fans face at a gig in Montreal.
The Wall was effectively the end of Pink Floyd consisting of Waters Gilmore Wright and Mason. By the time the Wall tour started Rick Wright had been fired by Waters from Pink Floyd. He did appear as a session musician playing the concert tour.
The Final Cut was basically a Roger Waters solo album, with zero writting credit by Mason or Gilmore although he did sing on the track Not Now John.
Then followed the Pink Floyd divorce case which went through the courts which Waters lost and Gilmore won.
I was fortuante I saw the Waters/Gilmore/Wright/Mason Pink Floyd live in 1974, 1977, and 1980. I never bothered with the Gilmore led Pink Floyd.
