Meddle is a seriously great work, I find with Floyd albums it’s a mood thing so it’s hard to pick the best. The one o would choose for a desert island would be Dark Side
Is correct. And they started life known as The Pink Floyd, shortened to 'The Floyd" by London's psychedelic hipster community!Which one is Pink? A question they were asked in 1973, by a record label, I believe....lol

DSOTM is the best album but not my favourite: that would be Wish You Were Here. But those are still their best albums, despite all of that.
For me, there is no Pink Floyd without Roger Waters, so I don't consider AMLOR or The Division Bell to be Pink Floyd. That and the fact that they're rubbish (save for a few tracks I guess). The fact that Gilmour got his wife the write the lyrics would be hilarious if they weren't so awful.Well a lot of people would agree with you. For me AMLOR is a Gilmore solo album and The Division Bell whilst significantly better is still not great. For me the track High Hopes is superb and there's a couple of others that are ok.
Meddle and Echoes in particular, was what got me into Floyd back in 71. So my favourites are Meddle, DSOTM, Wish You Were Here, Animals, and the Wall.
I believe Nick Mason receives no royalties at all from the Final Cut, with Wright out of the band, Gilmore only on one track. As good as that album might be I personally think it's nearer to a Waters solo album than a Pink Floyd album.
Just my opinion and its great having a debate about it:-)
