Pitch invasion

I think it's great and for me the fans deserve to be on that pitch far more than some of the tag ons following the players around immediately after collecting the trophy and medals.

It was class especially with all the smoke bombs and flares. Cant understand why anyone would be against it tbh

People were though there was a thread on here against it based on the players not being able to celebrate. Club 1st fans 2nd players 3rd.

I started the thread and it was done as a piss take from what happened two years ago when a lot of miserable fuckers said it shouldn`t have happened then.
As and old fucker myself I`ve got the t-shirts and everything from our time at Maine Road,so who am I to tell fans to "keep of the grass".It took approx 20 minutes to clear everyone, but by the time the stage was erected etc, then one and all were back in their seats,so no harm done.

Small time ??? To show passion and emotion. You would never see united or chelsea fans doing it as most of them are glory hunting prawn sandwiches.

It was class, and a city tradition
Started by some Kool Kats trying to give David Pleat a good kicking.
It goes back at least to 1976 when the players tried to parade the league cup and had to give in about half-way round as the pitch was full of over-excited fans, GDM.

When I got on the pitch it was more like a pitch walk on as they had opened the barrier

To be honest I just wanted to get on the pitch and sense the stadium from that vantage, it's all part of the occasion

People seem to forget the bottled up tension that many City fans have felt this season, constantly been told that a cartain other club had won it by the media, on Sunday it was released

Fucking hooligan. Did PB accompany you too ? I can see the headlines now.

'Bluemoon founder and owner Ric Turner issues public apology over hooligan mod shame'

I bet you even took some turf home for your garden.

There was a proper miserable bald **** at the bottom of 110 shouting at everyone to "grow up" when we was all coming off the pitch. I thought it was good, not as good as QPR though!

IRember John Wardle the then vice chairman on the pitch with the fans (think it when we reached play of finals)

1968 we (I say we, I wasn't born lol) invaded the pitch at Newcastle when we won the league.

It shows a conection with the club that few successful teams enjoy. As long as everybody clears it reasonably quickly (like what happened) long may it continue.

PB & Matty remained firmly rooted to their seats whilst eating their prawn sandwiches ;-)

I even took a selfi on the pitch me being the modern man
