Pitch invasion

Here we go again

I don't see the problem, anyone with half a brain cell would work out that while everyone was on the pitch the players were in the dressing room having the time of their lives

I went on the pitch as soon as the whistle went and i was on there towards the end, if anyone it i would imagine it lasted the best part of 10-15 minutes

Anyone using the excuse of it being 'small time' should go and evaluate their lives

Except Hart, he looked battered and bruised as he tried to get to the tunnel well after the others were inside.

Looked like he was really suffering when he was celebrating in the dressing room.......

If you watch the dressing room cam, the first thing he says as he walks in was 'ive just fought my way through about a million people, it was mental'

If Joe's anything like half the character he appears to be i imagine he would have been in his element

Stop making out as if the players are soft school boys, their grown men that have achieved something remarkable and want to celebrate with whoever is in sight

I thought it was great as I watched from Level 3 seeing people doing knee-slides, Poznan's and taking selfies etc. It was good natured, good rapport with Hammers fans and it all felt like a tradition. Thankfully it was short-lived so that we didn't have to wait too long to see the trophy with the stadium announcer doing a brilliant job of encouraging everyone back to the stands.

Does anyone remember 1985 - back then I think police on horseback tried to get everyone back into the stands at first and it was scary for moment (until they gave up), so it's refreshing that Sunday's invasion was treated as a minor issue.

Do I remember 1985? I was running from the Kippax [over the old iron fence] to the Maine Stand with a crowd and then there was just me as everyone had turned round as I looked up to see every GMP horse and rider from Hough End running at me. We legged it back to the Kippax and then, for some reason, we were allowed back on and we waived at Billy Mac in the Maine Stand. 52k at least. The wildest that I ever remember the Kippax. I will forever remember the feeling of being very hot, crushed and gasping for water, but the adrenaline saw us through. Glad those days are over and I never want to stand on terracing again. It was great at the time but life and football move on.

I did go on the pitch at Blackburn as I promised the lads I was driving back that I would. But it was rather a serene affair and was, being stone cold sober and then being in my thirties a bit, well, dull. So it's a NO from me but each to their own.

As pitch invasions go, it wasn't as spontaneous as most, but it was respectful, and despite all the announcements the stewards did little or nothing to stop it. I particularly liked the announcements once people were on the pitch, and it was good to see the pitch clear so quickly to let the presentation take place.

Only it didn't did it? The fact that people had had to be asked many times. That fans had to boo and chant off. It IS small time. I don't want to see fat women waving to people in the stands, men skidding on the damp grass and kids doing cartwheels and seeing who can be last off. I could understand QPR. The WHU one was just not needed and for this time it would have been good to see the players' immediate reactions rather than the aforementioned fat women, kids and fifty year old men, trying to climb the goalposts. I genuinely wanted the last few off to be arrested and banned. I defiantly wanted the ones who ran on during the lap of honour banned.

Fookin el !. You sound like a right joy to be around !.

As some posters have already said the celebration pitch invasion IS a city thing- and long may it continue!

It happened in 68 at Newcastle, 68 after the 6-1 West Brom Charity Shield i think, 70 in Vienna, even 1976- a week after we won the League Cup at Wembley we played Sheffield United at Maine Road, they did a guard of honour for us pre-match and we came on with the cup. I remember Big Joe holding the cup aloft so kids couldnt reach it!

Bradford was a good one too- i was on there myself, like the 85 Charlton celebration and the great day at Blackburn in 2000. Think the Birmingham one was a little early but hey-ho we were desperate to celebrate!

As long as it stays fun and dont spoil the celebrations to follow who cares? The bloody pitch can be fixed! Chill out and Rags are only moaning because its yet another thing they havnt the passion for!

Think im too old and knackered to go on myself these days but hey- its great to watch and go for it guys, ENJOY!

When I got on the pitch it was more like a pitch walk on as they had opened the barrier

To be honest I just wanted to get on the pitch and sense the stadium from that vantage, it's all part of the occasion

People seem to forget the bottled up tension that many City fans have felt this season, constantly been told that a cartain other club had won it by the media, on Sunday it was released

Fucking hooligan. Did PB accompany you too ? I can see the headlines now.

'Bluemoon founder and owner Ric Turner issues public apology over hooligan mod shame'

I bet you even took some turf home for your garden.

PB & Matty remained firmly rooted to their seats whilst eating their prawn sandwiches ;-)

I even took a selfi on the pitch me being the modern man
And put it on Facebook no less.

I didn't suggest anything of the sort. Read my first post in the thread.

So you don't mind pitch invasions as long as there are no hangers on and no players get involved in a bit of hussle and bussle

How after winning the league anyone can find the capacity to have a whinge about something so small is beyond me
