Indeed it was more of a why the fuck do we put our own players under pressure and make them question the club due to fansI'm sure they love having to be completely surrounded by security and physically bundled off a pitch while hundreds of strangers tap them on the head and claw at them. The ones that sprint off the pitch and down the tunnel show just how much they love it
I'm watching the same grainy video that you are so no, not 100% sure.are you sure about that? looks like he patted him on the head to me and the goalie didn't seem bothered by that. The pushing guy was a wanker and needs banning, no need for that. Then the third one that looked like caused the most damage was an accidental collision with a guy walking backwards with his hands out filming around him.
Infesting would have been a better choice of words :)thats what i meant , invading sounded better than breaking in.
I can see what you are saying, but it is totally different. The players have a right to be on the pitch and anything which takes place on there during a game can be dealt with by the referee and FA. It was inevitable that fans were going to get on the pitch yesterday, but they should not intimidate the players, no matter how minor. We had won the game and everybody was ecstatic, so why do it? That was mindless stupidity and the idiot concerned should be dealt with. CouldIt was about violent as Keown was when Van Nistleroy missed the penalty for utd that time. Not condoning it as it is wrong and you shouldn’t intimidate players, but the Keown incident was seen as hilarious by anyone who didn’t support the shit bags… just putting it in perspective.
They were escorting one guy along the front of the CB stand with 2 stewards before the final whistle.Yeah, it does sound odd, but perhaps the guy who ran on during the game was escorted off and arrested, hence the different treatment to the rest of the lower tier!
You're not getting your walker back, that's punishment enough.Unfortunately I was the fan that ran on when we scored the third.
I'm embarrassed for myself and the embarrassment it's caused my family. It was a spur of the moment thing and I'd change it if I could go back.
Is there anyone at the club I can get in touch with to issue an apology.
That was probably a grand total of about eight people out of around 10,000 on the pitch. 9,992 people were just joyously celebrating in a fun and harmless way.I don't think they are drama queens at all, what gets in the minds of people that decide to confront players and break a crossbar? Don't mind the pitch invasion at all, just enjoy it without the anger.
