Pitch invasions

It's not rocket science... Anybody who has done this before today has been banned I assume.. Do the same for every person on the pitch today.. The issues with seasoncard wait lists and people not getting tickets for the semi etc are relieved and we don't have to suffer at the hands of selfish idiots any longer....(Till the next batch we seem to be breeding grow up a little)
Banning 100 of the worst behaved fans would be a deterrent that’s for sure!

I’ve been on the pitch myself a few times in the past, but it was largely spontaneous celebrations after big results on the day/night (Wigan, Birmingham, QPR, Villa).

Today felt a bit different because the title was already won, so told my son I didn’t think a pitch invasion would even take place. When it did there was obviously no way I could be arsed myself, but he’s young and went for it so won’t begrudge him that. I’d have done the same at his age.

Still annoyed me a bit though as it seemed a bit unnecessary and forced in the circumstances, plus it delayed the presentation. That’s maybe just me being curmudgeonly though.

Felt to me like the stewards weren’t really that bothered anyway. They were letting people past with no resistance, and in some cases practically helping others. Don’t blame them given the money they’re on, and maybe they’re even instructed not to object forcibly.

Wouldn’t even surprise me if, deep down, City don’t mind these things. For a club accused of lacking passion or authenticity (whatever that means), they’re probably not averse to images going worldwide of thousands of Blues storming the pitch with smoke bombs etc.

Anyway, in conclusion it was mildly annoying but no real harm done.
@Ric, with all due respect how do we know there was no harm done? Apart from the fact that the club could be charged, fined and/or points deducted, how do we know that no one was hurt?
:-) :-)

Fair play if you stopped buying them in 2008. But the market is ongoing.
Went into a newsagent in Warwick a few weeks ago and was amazed to see some proper old skool Porno mages like Men Only and Club International on the top shelf. I mean seriously, who buys that in this day and age?

I'm surprised you lot in CBL3 and ESL3 who are moaning weren't more pissed off with the players, because by the time they finished celebrating in-front of the South Stand where most of the pitch invaders came from, half of you lot had f*cked off home.

It may have escaped your attention, but the Police stood in-front of the away end. The Stewards moved away, and the fans went on the pitch in an orderly manner. The fans eventually went back to their seats after 10 minutes. There was no trouble. There were no incidents. The Chelsea players went off. The goal wasn't damedged. It took longer than 10 minutes to erect the stage and to get all the media into place.

This faux outrage because City fans went on to the pitch, celebrated another title win, without causing any problems is frankly pathetic.

The pitch invasion aside, Pep and the players loved the support before, during and after the presentation. But some of you would convince yourselves and everyone else that had ruined everything.
I normally enjoy and respect your posts but you’re stupidity in this instance is disappointing

We don’t, I guess, but if it transpires that anyone was actually hurt, or if the club get fined/docked points (which is never going to happen btw) then I’ll be quick to condemn the offenders!
