PL and CL squad rules: homegrown

OK, but when he was at Gala being non-associated with the FA, he surely cannot be registered at the FA at the same time, can he?
Does a loan outside UK indeed count for being homegrown?
Are you sure?
We still held his registration though bud. And Celtic would have also discounted him from being registered with the FA following that logic.

I guess time will tell but I very much doubt we will see much of him barring a glut of injuries.

Me again! :)

According to 2016 FIFA regulations,
"A player may only be registered with one club at a time."

As Gala is a non-affiliate association - being outside England and Wales - the loan cannot contribute to Denayer's HG status.
And yes, same is true for Celtic, my mistake.

I am not aware of any player having HG status after loan spells outside England and Wales.

My conclusion is: Denayer does not count as home grown.

99% of time people who cite video games on football forums are annoying but in this case I think it's relevant.

In football manager, Denayer isn't classified as homegrown (a highly frustrating fact). FM tends to get these things spot on, as it's a pretty big of the game's appeal, so I'd think foreign loans don't count for a player being homegrown.

Sorry if this has been covered before but am I not reading the rule right

Why is Kelechi Ibeanacho born Oct 1996 joined City Jan 2014 not on the B list champ Lg squad.

A player may be registered on List B if he is born on or after 1 January 1995 and
has been eligible to play for the club concerned for any uninterrupted period of
two years since his 15th birthday by the time he is registered with UEFA. Players
aged 16 may be registered on List B if they have been registered with the
participating club for the previous two years without interruption.

Because he wasn't eligible to play until he was granted a work permit.

What about "club trained"? I'm thinking here of Harry Kane, I could be wrong but I don't believe he spent three years at Spurs uninterrupted between the age of 15 and 21. Does that mean he can't take a "club trained" spot for Spurs in UEFA competitions?

Does anyone have a breakdown of who are homegrown and/or A and B list players are from our squad?
