Other way around, ADUG advanced the Etisalat 2 monies to MCFC as there was a delay in getting the contract signed for some reason. Then Etisalat paid the amounts back to ADUG in full. Incidentally, this is the way the second contract between MCFC and Etisalat was structured: monies Etisalat > ADUG > MCFC. No idea why. I suppose we will find out. So to summarise: there was a valid contract (heads of agreement for a period until the actual contract was signed) for this sponsorship in place between MCFC and Etisalat, services were provided in full by MCFC to Etisalat, and all monies were received by MCFC from Etisalat (albeit through ADUG). Contract fulfilled. The only issue is the bookkeeping around how the payments were handled, there is no doubt that the income was properly recorded.
I think. :)
