im starting to get the feeling the PL didn't release this with Government grace to delay the white paper, but did it in spite of the Government forcing them to delay the paper. I think everyone might be very pissed of with the PL and a selection of CEOs here.

My theory on these charges is that maybe the PL went in really hard knowing that they don’t have the evidence to support the allegations.
That way, City are cleared and they get the duck out of their back.

Exactly the boiling of piss started the day of the takeover

I listened to talkSPORT back then when Ian Wright was on with Durham (I’ve not bothered with that station for about ten years now though).

The day we were taken over, there were fans of other clubs phoning up and moaning. Wrighty said, ‘they’ve been through their tough times and now they’ve got their towels on the Sun beds on holiday before the Germans get up and are going to have their moment in the Sun, anyone who has a problem with that is just jealous’.

That prompted more fans to phone up and have a moan.

They’ve had a problem since Day 1 and will have a problem with it forever… fuck em!

Got you, I didn't realise that. So actually the timings of the charges and the white paper were actually coincidental in the end? Despite how it all looks? (Or the PL sniffed an oppo and took it)

She’s pointing out we weren’t proven innocent we were found not guilty and she’s not wrong, even if I think she’s being a bellend for taking issue with the lack of precision of someone speaking in their 5th language.

I cant stop laughing at just how totally absurb and fucking useless the media are in this country.....

So, since the charges dropped on Monday the likes of sly sports news and all the scum MSM outlets have wrote and published and spoke on air (kaveh) how the rest of the clubs in the premier league want our club punished and booted out the league!

The press have wrote that - fact

Then Pep does his bloody brilliant presser and states that we know other clubs have been lobbying for the charges to be brought

And now this morning, I wake to see headlines from the same press (the same press that actually ran the headlines and articles that these clubs want us booted out and charges brought) - headlines that say the other clubs are now angry with Pep and consider his words being possibly libel with the clubs denying they wanted us punished!!!!!!

What the actual fuck - shouldnt the clubs then be actually angry with the press as they are the ones that made those allegations prior to Pep's presser yesterday

Those other 8 clubs sent a joint letter to Uefa and the CAS to hurry up a legal process three years ago. In essence, don’t properly look at the facts. Hasten up your progress to the verdict cos one of those 8 clubs could do with having City’s space in the Champions league. Nothing to do with fair legal process, just pure opportunistic greed to gain something they weren’t good enough to attain on a pitch.

Now they are crying cos Pep has called them out, I bet behind the scenes Levy has been jumping up and down for action on City. There’s no coincidence Spurs are sat in 5th and would be the ones most likely to gain from any points sanction being handed out.

The charges and sanctions being attempted to dish out have been pushed by other clubs wanting this to happen. The Premier league would probably prefer to just close the case and forget about it. They are stuck between a rock and a hard place, they have to be seen as doing something as 5 of those clubs have been plotting to set up a Super League.
