PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

I think you are referring to the application by MCFC to be awarded costs.

CAS at 340 are in effect saying that had MCFC disclosed information earlier it’s possible ( CAS deliberately make the point that they aren’t in a position to say what UEFA would or wouldn’t conclude) that CAS may not have needed to be involved.
It’s quite a subtle difference but they are saying that full disclosure could possibly have dealt with the matter at appeal
As for the leaks the CAS commentary on that is all over the place and at one point I was wondering if they were inferring the leaks didn’t actually come from UEFA.

So in your opinion, CAS were inferring the leaks came from who?

Yes, they want something back. They do not just give money to Bayern for charity - they want an advertising effect. No matter if it is one of the companies that have shares or the other ones that do not. That is the sense of sponsorships. What that has to do with political parties does not really make a sense for me.

Just - why should one of the 3 shareholders that have 7 to 8 per cent shares overpay with their sponsorship deals? If they pay 100 EUR more - and it would totally come back as a profit that is paid out to the shareholders - they would get back 7 EUR - 93 EUR would go to the other 2 shareholders and the club. Yes, they want to help run the club magazine for the fans and the other branches the club has like table tennis or bowling...
Possibly because they can't put more money into Bayern's equity so they are, you know, disguising equity funding as sponsorship? Now there is a thought.

Why don’t you test the statement against the whole phrase I used rather than just half of it?
Presumably your characterisation of the top clubs as multibillion pound companies refers to the price someone will pay to become the owner, not a good test in a specialised market with few buyers and sellers.
In terms of turnover or profit, the true tests, football clubs are not big companies financially in world terms.
The football club with the highest turnover in the world, a certain Manchester City, recorded less than £700m last year, with a record profit of £42m.
On market cap, City might sneak in at position 102 in the uk, but on turnover and profit City would be miles away from the top 100 just in the uk. So, in world terms City is a financial minnow.
Social dimensions are quite another matter and it is in that regard that football clubs should be judged.
What you just described in your own comment isn’t a minnow

I don’t think you’re understanding me or maybe I am not getting you. I am not saying there is anything dodgy or need to hide it but the and I certainly understand image rights to be normal though the sale might not be but allegations seem to be that. The price was to high presumably the premier league are going to argue it is a related party. Chevrolet paid United too much but that’s not an issue as they are not related party that’s just there own stupidity though I do believe the guy who did the deal got sacked not proper sign off or just incompetent. Non related parties don’t over pay there in it to get the best deal possible.
He got sacked and then conveniently went to work for the Glazers

I fucking detest Bayern. Snidey, horrible, devious club, the way these cunts do their transfer dealing through the press is fucking disgusting, as is their domination of a league by sheer one/team financial dominance. The German Rags

Indeed I do
The Tesco's super store in Portwood, Stockport, doesn’t *have* a UK arm.

It is a very small part *of* the UK arm *of* Tescos PLC.

Which is actually a UK based company to begin with.

Thanks for that. I might have missed that report. Easy and clear to read and understand.

Blame the accountants. Bunch of rags tripped us up.

Why have city not presented the proof needed to stop the investigation? If we are stonewalling the opposition to this extent. We must have decided that (a) we wanted an independent tribunal to fully clear us and take the media character assassination. Or (b) something in those accounts can be interpreted to show guilt and give the premier league the chance to follow through with their claims.

Grandstanding by the league. Only loser is city, and the fans. I can understand city not wanting to open the books with the leaks out of Uefa. I can’t get my head around the irrefutable proof v brand defamation. The relationship is poisonous now anyway.
Yeah , tend to agree , irrefutable proof ? So what is it City ? Could we have put a stop to this before the charges were made ? There is obviously something cooked about the books even in a minor way isn’t there ? It’s all about getting out of this with a clean nose as possible , if that’s the case then the cheat slur , and the damage done to Peps legacy will never go away, or the club’s previously to him.

if we didnt collect dirt on rivals we will get done imo by the PL panel, Pannick or not..
The only way to counter this whole farce if go the PL in the background and tell them here is dirt 1, 2,3,4,5 about to be released to media and will shake the PL and rivals unless they make these charges go away...

if we dont have any dirt on rivals, then we are very naive that deserves a punishment on its own. look what couple of hacked emails caused us last few years. we were also hacked by Liverpool. who knows how long would have gone on if we dont notice it...

we also dont know what potential dirt they got access too since CAS case, for example more, different hacked emails etc.

Soriano will have to answer for a lot if we get punished in the end.
the amount of scrutiny our accounts had last 10 years, if we still did funny stuff despite thats not a good look...
we need to be ready for multiple outcomes if there is serious punishment we need to have a fall guy, I assume Soriano. it almost needs to be like "dear judge, we had no idea he was doing all these trick with his friend Omar Berrada". :D

lets hope the only charge they get us with is the non cooperation. anything else will mean imo transfer bans, points deduction, serious money penalty, or even worse...
