PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

Even with just the context of a few weeks hindsight the rush to cobble the list of allegations together for the start of that particular week after years of slow progress makes it clear this is probably more about the imposition of an independent regulator on the PL than city's finances.

Given the fuck up with the relevant sections, it actually crossed my mind that maybe they wrote them down as they went along (using the old sections) on some white marker board from the £ shop and went from there forgetting they’d changed.

I zipped through the DS articles today just to check the exent of the accusations. Its absolutely clear they state Ethihad Airways and the other minor UAE sponsors were ALL related parties and actively involved in helping the club distort the annual accounts. They justify the claims using alleged content in stolen emails. What concerns me is why Etihad Airways did not sue DS for libel. They do not imply anything they clearly stare Etihad Airways were complicit. I've not mentioned the here the counter arguments Im just commenting on Ethihads lack of action. If they HAD sued it would have HELPED the club's defence. Another sleep disturbed night incoming.

DS?

As in Der Spiegel?

Well yes, but it wouldn't be private information from the individuals that the club has a duty to protect, surely? I suppose it will have been gathered from the club's own sources? I suppose it could have included details about current club players for reference. The club would then have a duty of care?
I'd guess (and it is only a guess) that it may contain full contact details for them and their agents, family life, pastimes, injury records with full details etc etc. That is all personal and private even if some may be in the public domain to some extent. The club definitely have a duty of care. I'd be interested to know what happened to the person whose log in details were used but of course that's private & confidential too :)

There‘s no point in worrying about something you cannot control. City have the best lawyers in the business. if the cartel get something to stick we will do what we always do, take it on the chin. Fuck the lot of them.
