But OJ was innocent a top decent bloke.It's all bluster at this point though. Even if the club's as guilty as OJ Simpson, we're going to say we're 'confident' the allegations will be disproven, and 'welcome the opportunity to clear our name.' Equally, if they're completely innocent, they'll say the same thing.

I took that as being surprised by the timing rather than the detailsClub statement says "Manchester City FC is surprised by the issuing of these alleged breaches..." which seems to say that we weren't prepared or expecting the charges.
