PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

hen does it end...we've been "good" for over 10yrs now?

This is the next thing people like Harris and Delaney will struggle with.

All our lives we've been told that Bayern and United and Barca/Madrid have so much money because they were always successful and attractive to investors and sponsors.

At what point do we fall under that bracket? Because take the hypothetical that we win the treble (knock on wood) -winning 5/6 league titles, being the only consistent CL team in England, winning the biggest tournament out there, having global superstars in Haaland, Grealish etc. seems like it's there.

I think the usual suspects know this, and it's why they're clinging on to the PL charges so tightly. If they all get dismissed away, then heading into the next 15 years of ADUG ownership their criticisms of City's financial legitimacy are going to be increasingly hollow.

We'll have gone through the angel investor stage and gotten to the point where we're generating more money than anyone else simply because we're the best and most successful club.

To be clinging to the charges that relate to us not answering the phone to be all you have at the end of it just makes him look ridiculous.

As much as Harris' obsession with the club is getting more and more delusional, don't join him by pretending that non-cooperation charges are "not answering the phone".

As a hypothetical, suggest we win the treble and Newcastle and Brighton finish 3rd and 4th.

But yes, to be more generous, right on all other counts.

Not football related, but apparently after failing with their own version of FFP, Rugby League have decided to go down the European Super League route by ending automatic promotion & relegation to their top league.

Now your playing performance will only account for 25% of the criteria to be promoted or relegated! :-/

Apparently football authorities are watching with keen interest! It's the thin end of the wedge & could provide a pathway to stitch up European Football in favour of the elite teams, irrespective of performance...

Exactly! It's incredible that 75% of teams were in favour of it. Just imagine being an emerging team & having your dreams dashed because the big boys don't want you in their exclusive club?

What will they do if the favoured bottom club, has the same level of facilities & attendance as the unfavoured team finishing top of the second tier?

That decision get's decided in a smoke-filled boardroom by the Chairmen, instead of on the pitch? I can't believe Rugby League are fine with this & see it as the way forward.

They point to the success of American sports. Rugby League will end up being an entertainment event, rather than a sporting event decided on sporting merit...

It's bullshit & if it works, it has connotations for football. All of this because UEFA/G14 wanted to stop Manchester City! :-/

I see your point but its worth remembering that our non cooperation during the UEFA enquiry was at the behest of our legal advisors.
