PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

Is one of the charges that we've been paying more in transfer fees than we've actually reported?
Was in an argument over the weekend when pointing out that we're 10th in the net spend table for the last years.

I argued that this wasn't one of the charges.
If for example we report the transfer fee for Nathan Ake of £40m, we pay Bournemouth that and they reflect that on their accounts.
If we actually pay them £60m but they report it as £40m, then they are guilty too for false accounting surely?

I'm no lawyer or forensic accountant sadly, unlike the majority of football fans on Twitter these days.
Twitter seems to be tribal about practically everything - largely just full of dispute, opposition, with a few wind-ups thrown in for good measure. The commercialisation of outrage.

"The reality is that the 115 items align to like approximately 5 items", it's not like approximately, it's exactly 5. But 'City have been charged with 5 offences' isn't going to get the clicks that 115 does.

It is both, but it is more factual than it is selective. We ARE charged with circa 115 charges. Grouping them doesn't really change that.

People have run off with a big misconception that the club have eliminated 110 charges and brought it down to 5. That's just not true. If you really want to be pedantic, you could actually group all 115 into 1 offense of financial irregularity.

We all know there is a pattern, normally prior to playing United or Liverpool, there will be a rash or these kind of stories, or other made up nonsense

I mean you could call me paranoid, but it seems to be a thing perhaps it may change when United are owned by another gulf state (if it ever happens)
It’ll never be a Gulf State mate, just a banker with a large loan who was a boyhood fan of theirs !

The kind of disservice being done to english champions and arguably the most aesthetically pleasing team in history of English football is depressing and hilarious at the same time.

Being charged isn't the same as being guilty but they've created a presumption of guilt to hide behind as some sort of solace for their teams not being able to catch city. I wonder who'd they'd blame when we're cleared.

They say sponsorship deals were inflated but in the long run it was a wonderful business decision as sponsors ended up sponsoring the best team in the planet right now, secondly every business have a right to value itself according to it's own assessment, a third party cannot question that and even if they did they can't prove that
If anything the sponsors owe us money -:)

They say we can’t possibly have a better commercial income than the Rags…..

We have a better playing team & judging by their leaking roof we have a far better facilities team so what makes them think their commercial team would be better than ours. They believed the hype, the empire will last forever but they got fat, lazy & taken over by the hungry, ambitious, élite professionals.

Instead of looking at what they are doing, they were convinced we’ve cheated. A gifted CEO would have seen that & rose to the challenge but instead they tried to “cheat” & lobby for us to be destroyed. City have continued to move forward by the time we are proved innocent they’ll be behind more than just us.
How far behind? Would relegation be asking for to much!

Yep,and the issue, even if we are found not guilty, will always be one of 'no smoke without fire'

I think we should win our next two league games and come to a deal that we will accept the charge with the punishment being a 10 point penalty.
Doubt it. We certainly won't accept anything. PL has no evidence against us. They want evidence from us. This won't go that fast. I don't think these charges will stand

The fact those two dipper and rag gimps spoke on behalf of Sky Sports and were given a platform to do so shows the people at the very top of the product of the EPL are worried. Carragher and Neville were used as a mouthpiece to speak about something they have very little knowledge about , Sky who pay billions for the EPL product are clearly worried but they keep the feral followers of carragher and Neville happy with the 115 charges narrative . It is like they are trying to draw MCFC into a public slanging match . City need to carry on doing what they have been doing and what they did in the UEFA case . The cartel have become desperate MCFC must not be drawn in into their level we must use this opportunity to destroy them ! Maybe the cartel now realise this ………

It’s in Sky’s interest to City have their wings clipped. If the Premier League doesn’t seem to deal with us in a suitable way to the other big six clubs and the rest of its stake holders, the spectre of the super league then starts to loom again. Sky won’t have a product to sell if the Premier League turns into a back water and the rights to the Super League go elsewhere.

Surely it’s the PL who have to do the “proving” & City are pushing them to put up or shut up.

As I understood it (as a total layman reading what is available), they raise the charges based on their investigation. We have a chance to respond/remove the charges. They then decide the extent of punishment, if any, based on that. Apparently no right of appealing the punishment, if it comes to it according to some, which I find hard to believe but can't argue otherwise. In the interim we have put in a legal challenge to the process recently as well.

Now that Neville and Carragher have spoken on behalf of the premier league on their sports broadcasting station I feel even better. Pretty much admitted they tried to fuck us and have no evidence we did anything wrong but want City to show the proof that all is above board. I get the feeling they only have those pesky emails. That was the premier asking city to release the document to clear the charges.

Sky is pretty much the red clubs mouthpiece so by association the premier league’s.
