PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

People who say City/PL is boring could not be further from the truth. There is a wider story here that is utterly compelling and will stand the test of time. The current war between us, the PL and the old cartel is for the future direction of the sport and also has geo-political ramifications such that it transcends the sport itself. When the dust settles, and the war has been won, there will be a huge appetite for the inside story and documentary series will be made about it in years to come.

Now that Neville and Carragher have spoken on behalf of the premier league on their sports broadcasting station I feel even better. Pretty much admitted they tried to fuck us and have no evidence we did anything wrong but want City to show the proof that all is above board. I get the feeling they only have those pesky emails. That was the premier asking city to release the document to clear the charges.

Sky is pretty much the red clubs mouthpiece so by association the premier league’s.

It’s a fishing trip, if they had anymore evidence than what Uefa had 3 years ago they wouldn’t have been sat in this for this period of time. The Premier League should be confident in its rule book and applying the rule book to then dish out the appropriate punishment in an appropriate time period. The fact they are having to put together an independent panel to adjudicate on the matter rather than deliberate themselves tell me that they aren’t so confident. It also taking two to four years to reach any sort of judgment shows how farcical it is and how damaging it is to all parties involved.

It’s in Sky’s interest to City have their wings clipped. If the Premier League doesn’t seem to deal with us in a suitable way to the other big six clubs and the rest of its stake holders, the spectre of the super league then starts to loom again. Sky won’t have a product to sell if the Premier League turns into a back water and the rights to the Super League go elsewhere.
If that's the case then id be very worried if I was an Everton fan, that particular story has got legs-certainly if Everton avoid the drop.

What a sad state of affairs. It also ignores the very firm public rejection of the Super League. The day that a European Super League is formed is the day many stop watching football. The pyramid is fucked.

If we can’t win then we’ll break the train set.

The clubs that were driving the Super league were the ones pushing for us to be chucked out of Europe through Uefa. It’s no coincidence they plotted the Super League after that as big fuck you to Uefa for not dealing with City, they got it disastrously wrong and had to climb down. The money they would have got through joining the super league would have wiped out the likes of United’s and Spur’s debt, no wonder Levy is so pissed off and wanting City punished.

They’ve got one last chance to fuck us over and the Premier League is the avenue to do it. If this fails for them where else do they have to go? It’s hilarious that two of the main drivers in United and Liverpool are looking at new owners, they have tried and failed to scupper City now they don’t want any part of it anymore.

I'm sure once we're cleared with the Premier League charges the piss boiling wankers will find something else to go after us for.
I find it laughable that every other teams fans think out of the whole of the league only us are dodgy and cooking the books.

I'm sure when it gets cleared up there will be a huge, huge can of worms opened up.

Just as a side note, I know absolutely nothing about law, about running a football club or a business but are you telling me that Sheikh Mansour, a politician, a multi billionaire, deputy prime minister of The UAE, with a worldwide reputation, a minister of presidential Court will risk everything, his livelihood, his standing in the world to facilitate and oversee us breaking rules and knowingly allow it?

Do you also think khaldoon will risk his own reputation and then lie to Sheikh Mansour and tell him a completely different story to cover up these alleged issues and accusations?

No, me neither, the more I hear these clowns on TV and radio getting giddy telling us about the charges and knowing what I know about our owners and CEO's, I know who I believe.
Exactly. This is the sort of social circle our owner lives in.
Be afraid, PL, be very afraid.

.......... the PL might think they can target us but any rules applied to us MUST be applied to all other clubs equally and that will be the PLs weakness. We could in effect threaten to take everyone else down with it would be us.
I have commented previously - it would be good to see evidence from the PL of their requests to Trafford for information from the Cayman Islands

This is (if not already) going to be tedious for the next 3 or 4 years.

Still can’t believe this is the situation we’re in and it couldn’t have been sorted with the PL without it going so far.
Masters has to satisfy those that appointed him and their agenda
