PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

That is how CAS actually presented them. Not that we were guilty but exempt because they were time barred, but purely, that there was no need to even look at them because of the time limitations and they were therefore irrelevant. Which you can just as easily say we were prevented from proving innocence, because of the time bar.
I know mate.
My point was the media ran with 'would have been guilty' but for the time-barring, rather then 'why did they charge them for time-barred periods?'

There is a complete media pile on going on at the moment and do wonder how City are thinking of dealing with this.

They have been absolutely correct to not say anything and let the arbitration take its course no matter how long it takes. But it does feel like it’s turning more toxic than at previous points.

Maybe it will blow over in a few days - but the current pile on is including every media outlet, not just the usual WhatsApp gang. So I wonder if Sorriano or Khaldoon will have to come out and say something.

Or will it be left to Pep at the Cup Final presser - cause you know what will be put to him then !

It changed mate as soon as we took Madrid's trousers down, it was then that they all realised what they are dealing with. Coupled with the fact that we could well emulate the wankers over the road treble, then they cant keep on calling the cunts the treble winners-we will virtually be throwing that title of theirs in the bin.

I don't think users of the phrases 'heritage, 'history', 'legacy' in relation to clubs have any fucking idea what they are talking about, what the phrases mean or are even perceived to mean, nor do the cheapskate media liars (mainstream and social) who propagate the ridiculous terms.
As we know, City have a winning record dating back prior to many clubs who think they are more deserving of a position at the top table, well guess what you ignorant twats, City are AT the top of the table and are so clearly there on merit, so stop complaining about it and try to get your own shit-show houses in order if you want to compete...
Also the pathetic notion that history only counts if it relates to winning things and success. Imagine if Gary James was confined to writing about success, life would be pretty boring. Its just a pathetic way for internet children to try and degrade our club.

Pep seems happy enough to do it. Pretty good at it too.

…….Completely subjective….AND NOT LEGAL. The PL has introduced the idea of “associated” sponsors because they know our sponsorships are not related under IAS24. But they cannot unilaterally decide that sponsorships from the country of a main owner are associated per se unless there is something else of substance. Otherwise, such action would fail in the courts either as interference with a legal contract or anti- competitive.
Note also American sponsorship of the redshirts might come back to bite the plotters . What price the (US) Marine Diesel sponsorship of the rag’s canal fleet then?
Associated? That's a can of worms they don't want to open... pretty much every team will be guilty of 'associated' sponsorships... United only got Chevrolet as a sponsor because of their American owners... Leicester and King Power... and god help Wrexham if they get to the PL - ALL their current sponsors are 'associated'!

Let's face it – at all levels of Football, clubs have 'associated' sponsors... If I had a company successful enough to be able to afford to sponsor a PL club, I'd pick City obviously... likewise, company's from Abu Dhabi will want to sponsor City because of the links to their country... Saudi company's will do the same with Newcastle etc.
