PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

I'm still astonished that the charges only go back to just after the ADUG takeover. Are the PL saying that we were completely squeaky clean when Doctor Death owned the club?!

Frank Sinatra didn’t have us in any form to compete, City were a money pit at the time which John Wardle had to bail him out of. Why would the premier league be interested in anything like that?

Apologies if there are other issues which I am sure you can tell us about?

Oh, I thought everyone knew of the links between Fenway and the NYT, and the (admittedly alleged, because it wasn't properly investigated) flow of information on the 2018 investigation from UEFA executives to Panja through the NYT (if you want a name, allegedly, Parry who was "promoted" to the EFL shortly after).

I thought there was some reference to Panja specifically as one of the recipients of leaked information from UEFA on our defense of the original charges against us. Which then led to our "non-co-operation" with the enquiry and subsequent fine.

Ironically, these are very serious issues which is just what any governing body should be interested in. Instead they look for historical infringements in our accounts which is not tackling the real problem - we all know that. An independent regulatory body is appealing - but what's to say these devious 'history' (we do it the right way) clubs will not 'capture' the regulator and still be the real force behind the scenes. It happens in many industries which are regulated like water for instance. If, as we think, these charges are empty of any substance and simply designed to protect the cartel - I really hope this message will be delivered to the industry and the fans - but cynically I suspect it will somehow be kept under wraps. It's shameful that they have deliberately besmirched our name and tried to undermine our achievements and also that so many resources, on all sides, have been devoted to such a hideous strategy. Those resources could have been put to much more effective use.

Thanks mate, sorry but didn't know the link you describe.

however I'm sure there are many reasons for the media to interpret the news the way they want rather than have old fashioned editorials that originally reflected political allegeance.

Who would have thpught it, cut out news and present your interpretation of it as the news with bias or even lies.

1. Not qualified for Euro comps then, so UEFA uninterested, even had they launched ffp earlier.
2. Prem league had few, if any, financial regs then.

Parry was a go to contact of Panja when he was the NW Football correspondent of MEN(?)
