PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

I say a quote over on the Caf where they are discussing the charges, one guy is talking about revenue and how we can be anywhere near matching their numbers, one point he made is that they have a worldwide fan base of millions where we proberbly have maybe 100k.

So lets think about that, 1 in every 2 City fans in the world attend every home game? Do they honestly believe the shit they come out with, the biggest issue they miss is that they can't let go of us being some little club. Like they have failed to recognise how we have transformed the team they have also failed to see what we are doing on a global basis in growing the club.
Just waiting for the day when on holiday they ask a United fan "Where are you from?", they reply "Manchester" shortly followed by "Manchester City!"

What pisses me off with all of this is the assumption from other clubs fans that if we don't get punished then we must have paid someone off or got off on a technicality.

Take the Uefa charges that were time barred, this wasn't a technicality that we threw into the mix, Uefa have their own set of rules, one of which was a time bar that they could not exceed. It was Uefa that put the rule in place not us, CAS basically said that you have not followed your own rules and so dismissed them. It didn't mean we were guilty it's almost like a road being designated at 30mph after previously being 40mph. Then the police go back to before the change and try to charge when you were doing 35mph.
M8. Even if these charges didn't exist they would still be, (and have been, since Pep arrived), calling us cheats.

Oil cheats, bungs to Pep, cheat codes, state funded, peds, etc etc.

We'll know we've truly arrived when global fans ask "Where are you from?" & we can reply "City" & they reply "Ah... Manchester?" :-)

This pisses me off no end. You complain that the rules were set up specifically to stop us? “Yeah, but everyone agreed to play under those rules so suck it up.” You say that under precisely those rules many of the charges were time-barred? “Ah, that’s just a loophole.”

So some of the rules everyone agreed to are perfectly fair (if we get punished under them) but others are just loopholes and technicalities (if we don’t).

Not lay. Actually looking again I reckon maybe 2 lawyers and an accountant may be appointed for this case. Don't think they will need an insolvency practitioner or "individuals with extensive and demonstrable experience in football administration and/or youth development."

"The Disciplinary Panel shall ordinarily comprise: 7.1 legally qualified individuals, each of greater than 10 years’ post-qualification experience (whether as a barrister or solicitor); 7.2 authorised insolvency practitioners; 7.3 individuals who hold nationally recognised qualifications as accountants or auditors; and 7.4 individuals with extensive and demonstrable experience in football administration and/or youth development."
Cheers
