Doesn’t sound too good does it
If ever you wanted proof that City will be completely exonerated of any REAL wrongdoing (non cooperation notwithstanding)the fact that stuff like this is now being reported on should be it.so the narrative is starting to get pushed that if we get found not guilty its because the government stepped in?
For the Premier League, you mean. We don't know the content of the emails or discussions but the fact that the UAE government have seen fit to talk to the British government about this shows how serious they believe the accusations to be. In essence, a UK-based company is questioning the legitimacy of a company owned by prominent businessmen and political figures from the UAE and they're stepping in to find out why.Doesn’t sound too good does it

It's the UK government here speaking to the UK government in Abu Dhabi. For the Premier League, you mean. If you have the reading comprehension of a hedgehog.Doesn’t sound too good does it
Well that's even less of a story, lol. It's the UK government here speaking to the UK government in Abu Dhabi.
I think it sounds brilliant.Doesn’t sound too good does it
Yeah, the only real "story" from the article appears to be that The Athletic submitted an FOI request about an ongoing investigation, which has become a diplomatic issue, and were rightly told to keep their noses out. "The law prevents journalists from writing a story" isn't a sexy headline, though, is it.The Premier League are essentially accusing a member of the Abu Dhabi royal family of submitting fraudulent accounts over a prolonged period in the UK, something that is vehemently denied. Of course that is going to be brought up at a diplomatic level.
