As long as we keep having the success...cares not a jotThe longer it goes on, the more other clubs and their client media can perpetrate the myth that our sucess is tainted.

The only person who's pussy would be safe from Kurt ZoumaMrs Slocomb says hello.
I think they are losing the battle with the next generation here too. The thing is the current under 18s don’t give a crap about what might have happened in 2010. When they pick their team (unless they go for their local side) they see who is winning everything and where Haaland plays. The red tops are working their underhand tactics in the English school playground of the Premier league whilst City and their management plan for the club have left that playground and are working in the vast world playground of football. The result is City are fast overtaking all the history clubs in revenue and are set to become the richest and most successful English club ever. That is what they can't handle so let them spend all their time and effort fighting us in England while we conquer the world. With the Sheikh and Khaldoon in charge we are in safe hands.
I think it will get harder as time passes for them to rant on about issues like the Mancini contract. Those claims from 2009, that he was essentially paid a £1.75m retainer before he came to City, are looking increasingly absurd. They pre-dated PL FFP rules by at least three years and happened 14 years ago. It just makes the PL look bitter and stupid. The longer it goes on, the more other clubs and their client media can perpetrate the myth that our sucess is tainted.
One alternative machination could be that Khaldoon.and Mubadala don't take the 10 Bill away...but instead proceed to focus their efforts entirely on helping Manchester do to London what City have done to the rest of the league...become the dominant UK/European/Global force with more fingers in pies, options and leverage than anybody really ever countenanced or wanted...Bob on. Numerous posters have speculated that the investigation would eventually involve a political/ macro economic angle and it’s staggering that any clear thinker would imagine that this Is questionable. I bet that the charges and the slurs against the integrity of our owners has been the subject of high level discussions since announcement.
And no surprise. Setting aside reputation and honour (a major issue in itself), consider the financial hole the UK finds itself in, think who has financial firepower, track record and willingness to invest in the UK. And then consider the damage the fallout from what many see as a istry club driven, kangaroo court investigation could do to UK PLC.
The political economic stakes are enormous. In 2021 it was announced that the UAE-UK SIP would commit £10 billion, overseen by the OfI and Mubadala. This supplemented Mubadala’s £800m / UK Government’s £200m life sciences partnership. We all understand the connection between our owners and Mubadala.
The gvmt are absolutely right to ask questions. Can you imagine the fallout if they did not …..and subsequently the Prem investigation (and not a legitimate legal institution) concluded that our owners were cheating bastards when set against questionable and opaque Prem Handbook standards and massive investment in the UK was undermined?
It could be argued that the gvmt are actually doing the job they were elected to do, namely looking after the best interests of the country and its citizens.
We won’t hear anything until the verdict is delivered. That could be years. It’s absolutely pathetic that we’ve been waiting for 8 months now to hear anything about this, who will be on the panel, when we can expect to have a hearing etc.
There’s really no excuse, if they weren’t ready to bring the charges they shouldn’t have brought them, and neither party should be allowed to delay to this extent.

The secrecy of the process was challenged in the courts and rejected.
We may never know who was on the panel.
Ok, I’m sure that why we haven’t got any info. Cheers. You've got that backwards, the High Court ruled against City (and the PL's) attempt to keep the investigation and hearing secret.
