PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

We were everyone’s ‘second club’ when we were in the doldrums. Famous for our loyal following and the fact we were in the shadow of the Rags, who everyone despised.

It was nice. But I’d still rather be successful and hated.
The part about that shift in perception that most people on here conspicuously fail to appreciate is the effluxion of time.

We were in the third tier of English football a quarter of a century ago. What does any supporter of another ’Big 6’ club under the age if 30 know or care about that? And why would they ever want or need to acknowledge the loyalty of our support back then? Ridiculous thing to expect.

And the same goes for much of our support too. They weren’t even born when we were dropping down the divisions. The last time we were relegated was over 20 years ago.

We had one, self-inflicted season in our 130-year history in the third tier, yet to new fan rival divs and even some of the haters in the mainstream media, that should define our entire existence
No coincidence that our lowest ever point coincided with the formative football years of many of our detractors, whether in the media or online
Whether cunts like Mitten and Evans or cunts like Harris and Delaney, they are pathetic man babies, pining for the lost certainties of their miserable childhoods. When Citeh were shit, Thundercats were on the telly and the redshirts ruled the league
Weren’t there only four channels on the TV the last time the cult won the league before the Covid title?

Seem to remember the likes of Villa,Leeds and Wolves in the third tier, they don't seem to be perceived by the media as being defined by that.
Maybe it's because they haven't threatened the Sky4

It all seems like yesterday. So many good memories from those days..

Our time in the lower divisions together with uncertainty when in the first division was what my dad prepared me for all those years ago.

He called supporting City "character building".

In a way I miss the Monday morning barrage of criticism and banter weekend football brought as an often ridiculed City supporter who could take an occasional smooth with the all too often rough.

Wolves fell all the way down to the 4th tier in the 80s - they went down from Division 1 to Division 4 in consecutive seasons. That was after starting the decade winning the League Cup against Forest and finishing 6th in the top flight
