PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

I’d be gutted if this were to come to pass. I believe the club that we are innocent and I want this put to bed.
I think there's quite a serious issue of national integrity at stake here. The UK government and establishment loves UAE money, have done for years.

What the PL is doing is basically calling SM a crook. He isn't going to take that lying down I'm 100% sure of that. It transcends football.

The more I think about it it just looks like desperate shit flinnging by the PL heavily influenced by american owners that are looking at getting out because the card game can't be rigged in their favour.

The PL structure will be the casualty. FSG and the Glazers will be long gone with their ill gotten gains.

I think City will go for full exoneration, and if needed they will use the levers that they have to get it ( and I don't blame them for that).

For someone who is a bit thick (me) does anyone know what we have actually been charged with?
I am a bit concerned because in september 1978 just oustside the kippax stand I found 50p on the floor which I just put in my pocket & didnt tell anyone, do you think I might be in trouble from the FA?
Hopefully time-barred

Are we as fans able to contend that the PL are interrupting our fan experience? They have used moments from the affected and alleged seasons as an advertisement and promotion materials. If City are alleged to be full of lies and cheats, are they not stealing from us?

We're CENTURIONS. 100 charges? Ten counts of miscounted a gate opening? 6 counts of overpriced programmes?! Pathetic. 100 counts. 100 allegations. They clearly didn't give one rat's posterior about the fans.

CENTURIONS

Ironically, I think these accusations, as well as their very deliberate timing, will re-energize all within the club and create a siege mentality. Staff and players angry at the constant attacks? Today could very well be the day we won the league. Expect a deep CL run as well.
Heard it here first!

I’m very late to hear the news due to being a work all day and no mobile signal.

Could one of our more sensible posters please give me a nutshell version including whether we’re actually in bother or is it just handbags?

My view is the PL is a brand and a business. They're not going to relegate you because if they do they hurt their brand, sponsorship and income.

However this has seemingly come with government pressure to regulate the PL. So they have to be seen to do something. I'd imagine the worse case scenario is a transfer ban and a points deduction. A points deduction possibly hurts the brand as it is seen as unsporting though so less likely. However it depends, if they think a club with a bigger fanbase winning with City having a points deduction it may mean they put the points deduction in. It would also be a very hollow victory of City get more points and another team 'wins the league', so it seems unlikely in my view.

Knowing how much money is in football they're probably fishing for bribes and fines is my guess. This is likely a long drawn out case anyway and will be challenged in the high courts. So any punishment is unlikely to happen in the next 12 months. This apparently won't go to CAS like the UEFA case though because the PL is an independent regulator. So in that sense it is harder for City to win. This is just my reading this morning and afternoon and comes with as little bias as possible.

Having said all of this the PL haven't regulated FFP to date so doing so would be a U-turn from their MO.
