The Premier League is a mess, it's just a dysfunctional cartel, dominated by the "history" clubs, Arsenal, Utd, Liverpool and Spurs.
The 115 unsubstantiated charges this cartel pushed for are designed to do two things, to give their client media a stick to beat us with, and to send a signal to the government that the PL was capable of regulating itself.
Given that these history clubs were the main drivers for the European Super League, this is hypocrisy on a grand scale.
Well the stick part works, their client media are always willing to peddle City bingo bullshit, but making the charges stick, not to mention the expense? That's not working out so well.
Given this, if you step back and ponder what our relationship with the Premier league must be like, it can't be a pretty picture.
Poisonous probably puts a gloss on it.
Hence the Premier League and their client media's OTT reaction to those young piss heads and their Charlton chant.
