I am of an age where the Union Jack, the word "gay" and many other things had not been hijacked by sections of our community so using a truncated version of football "history" comes as no surprise.You have to laugh at the whole notion that history only counts as history if you were dominating the game. Its been repeated so often that dumb fucks like o'hara actually think this way and million of opposition fans are the same. Its like saying Notts County have no history or Everton have no history because they haven't won anything in the last 40 years.
I had a book as a kid in the 80's with the history of City and then every game, line up, scorer, attendance etc listed for every season since we began. I spent months and months studying who played, how big our crowds were and what a rich history as a club we have. St Marks, 84k v Stoke, Billy Meredith, getting relegated after winning the league scoring 100 goals, Vienna, Newcastle away and so many more.
As soon as anyone mentions lack of history, its end of debate as there is literally no point talking to them.
