PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

City and Everton's cases couldn't be more different, both in terms of the charge which Everton admitted to, and the speed of a verdict.

Rivals want to associate the two, but they are far removed.

If anything, I am even more hopeful now that the Premier League will be cut off at the knees before we ever get to the hearing.
Just with regards to your last paragraph, could you please explain the thinking behind your optimism? Please don't take that as a rhetorical dig, I'm just curious as to why this makes you more hopeful.

If we're cleared then this is good news for us, as it shows that penalties will be served if there is wrongdoing so no one can claim we've just argued our way out of it.
The opposite will happen. You forget when we are cleared no one will decide to read or educate themselves on it. We are guilty via peoples skewed bias to their clubs. I will get shot for this comment be we offer to much to the PL for the worst case scenarios.

Thankfully least we should have Everton and Newcastle in our corner these days.

Hope we make a mockery of the PL and all the warped stupid journalists when we win our case.

What’s interesting is the media appeared to know what penalty Everton were getting weeks ago. Albeit it was touted as a slightly higher total I.e. 12 points. Objectively, Everton and now Chelsea have owned up to wrong doing, in Everton’s case it’s the punishment that is being contested not the offence. Also the immediate deduction seems like they are setting the ground. i would be very surprised if Everton don’t get the points deduction reduced to say five points which will probably make little difference come the end of the season. Of course what about City? The obvious response from the media. I have no idea what stage our case is at. But, it wouldnt surprise me if things go very quiet, then we get hit with a very big points deduction towards the end of the season with immediate effect, thus making sure someone else wins the title and any appeal would take that long no panel would want to reach a conclusion that then takes the trophy from another club.

We're probably getting relegated, same with Chelsea in my opinion.

The PL will want "their" league back to how it was in the 90's early 00's.
