PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

I'm talking about the wider media more than rival fans. The journalists that target City every day will find some way to bemoan the decision, but the fact Everton have been found guilty is evidence that they're willing to bring charges where they see a clear breach of rules. If we're not guilty then they'll have to provide a statement confirming such. The issue with the CAS ruling is that we were fined for non-compliance which everyone took to mean that we were guilty and just got away with it on the time-barred allegations. They didn't read the report in full to see that our non-compliance was due to concerns regarding UEFA leaks which CAS did acknowledge.
They did read the report. However, the findings didn’t suit their narrative and agenda. Therefore, they simply chose to ignore it, and continue to pedal their lies, conjecture and bias.

SSN are now reporting that people are questioning FFP.

They're asking what's wrong with a Moshiri using his own money to compete at the very top of football?

Not allowing him to do so, merely keeps the PL's Big Six where they are, with no one ever being able to challenge them!

They ended by saying "This is a discussion for another day", so let's see what other fans think when it's someone else trying to live the dream who gets clobbered!

The Government are determined to put a regulator in. Digital technology will make football the world’s biggest industry in the next decade and the taxman wants his slice.
Horrible!!
For once I’m actually hoping this appalling shambles of a government actually live up their word and do something they’ve promised

I think it’s crazy that every article on Everton’s point deduction has the same comment repeated ad nauseum - What about City.

In any event I’d be amazed if any Liverpool/ united/ Arsenal fans had a clue about the charges facing City.

Three things:
1. Everton admitted a breach but didn’t admit the scale. We haven’t admitted or accepted any breach.
2. The Everton charges related to balance sheet figures- the numbers are straightforward to get from their books, the only issues relate to interpretations of what was or wasn’t allowed for FFP. The nature of the charges levied against us will mean that the PL need to show something akin to fraud. The balance of probabilities remains the standard of proof but unless they have some big smoking guns they’re going to have to infer a lot of wrongdoing from hacked emails.
3. The scale of the charges and the length of the investigation means it’s going to take a long time to determine our case. Can’t see it happening anytime soon.

Despite all that we need to be prepared for a relentless campaign of “what about City?”

It will be very interesting to see how Everton get on with their appeal….
