Is this some sort of "best case scenario" compromise you've thought of?Still believe what I wrote in this thread back in February: no relegation and no title stripping. But point deduction and a transfer ban for a year or so. It won't be a big deal in the grand scheme of things, not as big as our rivals want anyway.
The outcome is not only about merely legal rules and procedures. The wider context matters. Hope I'm being pessimistic, but I think there will be some sanctions and they'll be neither too big nor too small.
Because that effectively is admitting "hey, we must have cheated in some capacity, so let's hope they're lenient with us!" mentality. I don't believe we have done anything wrong at all, aside from the non-compliance, but that's what i'd have expected City to do having been accused of being fraudulent.
Even if we're fined £100,000 and given a 1 point penalty that would be completely unacceptable because that's the PL finding us guilty of something in which we've done nothing wrong. I don't want compromises or hope of a lenient sentence, I want a full aquittal and apology from the PL.
