PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

I see Nick has been posting about City’s 2011 sponsorship deal claiming City were midtable nonentities and valuation was way out of line. However, it’s worth noting that in August 2011 he held a different view and believed it could actually be under value! Have a look at what he said back then:

His analysis back then was bang on. Wild. £20m didn't look too shabby in 2021 did it. The stadium/campus deal looks pretty cushy now they've got world class academy players spilling out and women's international football being played on site. Wonder if he'll reflect on what has changed his end.

It’s funny the media describes Pinto as a whistleblower & Assange as a hacker….
A whistleblower doesn't demand money from organisations not to blow the whistle. Pinto was cauaght bang to rights and now faces more than 300 other charges. He admitted attempted extortion in court in return for a suspended jail sentence. The coverage in the UK media has been dishonest and distorted from day one.

Did you expect anything else? Gutter press.

Sounds like keeping the smear campaign going knowing they will lose the case going forward saying we have all this evidence but carnt use it as its deemed illegal obtained so we know city are guilty but carnt prove it crap

This was the PR strategy used by UEFA to get themselves off the hook for their failed case and it worked for them. They continued to brief the media using third parties that they had done their best but the offences were either time-barred or just impossible to prosecute beause of City's refusal to co-operate.

Otherwise known as damage limitation.

So he's provided German and French authorities these files but also says:

"'We haven't released the information yet but we have a massive file of Manchester City-related documents that has yet to be released."

So he has released them technically and City's lawyers should be able to get hold of them, to see if he's posturing for attention or not.

This is probably what they are going to do if City win the case. Every time someone claims they have evidence that's not been seen before, they'll drag the club's name through the mud again and demand another investigation. If they are allowed to keep doing that, it will be disgrace... clear and organised. There has to be an end to it.

Why hasn’t he given the PL those new illegally hacked files? Surely if he did that and the PL won the case on the back of those illegally hacked files, he would be vindicated? No?

Copied from Tolmie bHairdoo post on Twitter fPinto/lawyer claims another five hard drives include incriminating emails on City doesn't pass the smell test. He is serving a four-year suspended jail sentence and ordered to hand over everything at his trial as part of the agreement. Pinto is facing jail if has withheld anything. In addition, he is also currently awaiting trial over another 300+charges for blackmail and doctoring emails. He could have handed all this City stuff over anytime since 2014 to Uefa, CAS or the Premier League. And finally, if Premier League were handed anything, as a convicted criminal his illegal activity is no longer whistleblower exemption and is inadmissible
How many fckin emails do City employees send?

As far as I'm aware he's never asked us for money, it was Doyen Sport he was trying to shake down. He has defrauded a Caymans(?) bank previously so he's had experience.
Probably because he'd had a payoff from other parties to hack on request.

Imagine if there's something in the emails we've requested to suggest that!!!!!

Why is it '5 hard drives' worth of evidence. Why not 4. Or 6. Or 1? Sounds a nice round high number

Their doubling down puts Putin and Maga to shame...
