PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

Yes but it's about intent as well. The oft-quoted £1.45m was Mancini's basic initial salary with us. He also got bonuses that increased that significantly, at least by a factor of 3 even in his first full season, when we won the FA Cup and qualified for the CL. By the time we won the league, he was on about 8 times that.

So why would we need to pay him £1.75m under the table?
That is a good question and doesn’t Der Spiegel claim that City wired the money for the Al Jaz salary to ADUG Who would send it to Al Jaz? That would make absolutely no sense and would surely have been pounced on by BDO.

"Finance Expert' LOL.

Just to clarify a few things here. The annual £1.75m Mancini was paid as part of the Al Jazira contract was at a time when we reported aggregate losses of nearly £350m over the 3 full years he was with us. So that £5.25m we allegedly paid him under the table made absolutely fuck all difference in the overall scheme of things.

I don't recognise the scenario of pushing back the monitoring period under the non-cooperation heading but I did write about UEFA changing the method of calculation of the allowable wages, which pushed us into breaching FFP by a small amount.
Your explanation in the podcast is EXACTLY what fans have been crying out for. It brilliantly simplifies a complex matter so the average fan can better understand what's happening to us, so it settles the minds of the worried & gives armour & ammunition to our Sky Blue Warriors who're willing to go to war in City's defence.

I've added a couple of points according to my understanding like the monitoring period being shifted back 12 month, which I'm pretty certain is what UEFA did to us in between the submission of our interim accounts in March 2013 & the certified accounts 4 weeks later.

May I just thank you on behalf of Bluemoon, because you've really helped sort the wheat from the chaff. I just hope my interpretation of your expert assessment on the podcast has done it justice.

Cheers dude. You're our Superstar! :-)

Accidentally heard Talksport in the car City baiting again today all doom and gloom for us. We are done for the usual junk of what about the trophies we won. Hope none of you listen to that rubbish station they don’t talk sport
Just switch off from it we stood together before FFP and we will afterwards

The Prem want to keep this all in house with their Kangaroo court and officials who support red teams , but it cant, and wont be that way. They are accusing some very big political powerful people of fraud on a grand scale. The Prem see it as a football matter the people accused wont. Are the prem so thick and stupid that they cant see the ramifications of their actions ? This will go beyond football ,the Sheikh and/or Khaldoon only have to move some contracts around and take some away from the government give them to other countries, and Sunak will make this his number one priority, because he cant afford the country losing investment at a time when he needs as much funds in the country to try and buy votes in a looming election .
Why do people write this shit. It’s absolutely nothing to do with the government now it’s all in the hands of an independent commission. I don’t believe Sunak has any influence on this whatsoever.

Have some of you got nothing better to do than keep harping on an on and on about this?
Wait till an official announcement is made, More important things to discuss ffs

It would be very interesting on the Fordham thing, especially as 5 other PL clubs were fined by HMRC for creative image right solutions that actually broke UK tax regulations.
In fact United and Newcastle after paying back tax are under investigation for their tax affairs from top to bottom going back quite a way.
Pellegrini was also fined for trying to evade UK taxation - Not a problem for City though - that was his and his alone's problem.

In fact their are huge issues with tax avoidance/evasion in football.

This will become a huge issue over the next few years.
In fact, solving our problems early with UEFA may yet actually be a blessing in disguise. For worst case this ACTUALLY IS breaking the law.
Shit! I forgot about the image rights tax issue from a few seasons back.

Thanks for the reminder & the links. It all helps us build a better picture about this whole FFP scam. )(

What if the Premier League has a whistleblower or a disgruntled employee who had first-hand experience with the alleged fraudulent accounting....?

Then we are totally fucked beyond repair. It would surely mean jail time for our top executives.
That’s the spirit
