Rag.I'm out and about all the time and not one person has called me/City cheats.
Rag.I'm out and about all the time and not one person has called me/City cheats.
Look, I'm well aware what the club can and cannot say for legal reasons, and this is nothing to do with our legal team fighting the allegations - I trust them to do the best possible job on that score. I also don't expect the club to launch a public broadside against Ceferin.I don't even remember 'Talkin' City. :-)
There's nothing miserable about my post, old scout. I'm the one who is sticking up for our club. Trying to be positive about what the club is doing.
This is what our enemies want. Blues to attack their own club. It's Manna from Heaven to them.
Of course the club is not beyond criticism and I too think they could have said more about the Istanbul issues, but this is different. When you get into a legal battle of the likes that we are in, you take the advice of your legal team before issuing statements.
If you believe that our club's legal team are making a complete arse of how they respond to the likes of Ceferin in public, then I'm assuming that you won't have much confidence in them defending us against the PL charges, because you seem to have no confidence in their approach.
Manchester City are now governed in their responses to this situation by their solicitors. This is not the time to go issuing statements without their consent.
Great point and probably true!I liked your post but just add this for a sideways look at the clubs passive position.
I had read in several places that we scored points with CAS in demonstrating evidence of the tidal wave of pre-judgement, prejudicial comments and biased vitriol pre-hearing - and much from influencers in positions of power like Creterin.
Maybe, just maybe the club are boiling but keeping quiet and creating the evidence file which starts with the message…‘we have already been judged and hung, this myopic, one sided hysteria without any substance must have a bearing on the conscious and subconscious of the committee members.’
Does that include Istanbul? Should we all shut the fuck up moaning and complaining about that as well?UEFA and the PL could literally exclude us from the very competitions the fans turn up to see. The priority is absolutely keeping the club in the competitions it needs to survive rather than looking after fans first world problems.
Our owner has given us more than we ever dreamt possible. Now they need to protect the club and are going about it the best they can. They don't need a bunch of fans moaning and complaining whilst they are trying to keep our great club from being potentially destroyed.
Everybody has to do what they feel is best. I’m trying not to get angry about it all as we still have ages to go and I don’t have unlimited energy.Does that include Istanbul? Should we all shut the fuck up moaning and complaining about that as well?
I e-mailed the club in 2003 to ask how many loyalty points I had (back in the days when we couldn't easily check online) and I'm still waiting for them to answerHave seen a lot of posts on here stating that they can't understand why the club don't come out and make statements regarding the shit we are getting in the Media ect and not banning the shit journalists from the stadium. Why don't these posters email the club and ask them.
Not guilty. Everything about the way this has been handled by City's accusers stinks to high heaven. And I know you don't want to get into the details (I sympathise) but if you read one post on here this year, read the long post by @Dribble (recent) explaining things.I am prefacing this post with the observation that I have deliberately kept away from this thread, and have only read the odd post now and again. Plus I have also purposely not read any further than headlines on News pages.
This is because I am at an age where I like to try to keep my blood pressure down as much as possible by not reading things that are going to get my exasperation and rage going!!
Therefore I am just going to ask one question: Do you as a BlueMoon poster/Manchester City supporter feel that City are innocent of all the charges or at least some of the charges?
I would hopefully get a straight yes or no answer as I am not even sure what charges have been brought. Sorry if I annoy some by not wanting to go deep, deep down into 165 or whatever charges. None of us as fans can truly know what the club are doing but do we think they are guilty?
Personally, through my blue tinted City loving glasses I wholeheartedly want to say no we are not guilty but I am realistic enough to know that the powers that be wouldn't open themselves to ridicule by bringing charges if they weren't satisfied that there is some substance. Plus I know how big business works, there are so many things that go on behind closed doors.
However whatever the outcome I will still state we are THE BEST TEAM IN THE LAND AND ALL THE WORLD. :-) CITY FOR EVER.
Am out in Liverpool on Friday for a few beers with a mate who is a lifelong LFC season ticket holder (and a great guy as it happens ) , will let you know how I get on!!??I'm out and about all the time and not one person has called me/City cheats.
Good post. I’ve been saying the same for years. We are most certainly the dog to be whipped as we never seem to respond or become more assertive with the clowns who repeatedly spout nonsense, bias and lies. It’s the clubs fault 100%. They all know they have a free pass to say and broadcast what they want without any come back from the club. The so they do. The more they get away with it the more poisonous and spiteful they become. The club should have never, ever let it come to this. The level of hate from the media against us is now getting extreme. Something needs to be done. However, as we know it won’t be. We as the fans just have to suck it up on a daily basis. I’m at the point of thinking, if the club are not prepared to defend themselves, their brand, their reputation and their fans, then neither am I. Enough is enough.Would any other global brands put up with all this bullshit, lies and slander from journalists and rivals?
Maybe I’m wrong but I’m sure if companies like Coca Cola, Apple, Amazon, etc were enduring the kind of witch hunt City face they’d have sued all perpetrators for millions.
Why the fuck are we so fucking soft? It’s no wonder cunts like Carragher, Neville and dickhead journos perpetuate their lies and insinuations, they never have to face any challenge.
How about City pay the right kind of people to make up stories about some of our rivals‘ finances, or certain journos cheating on their wives …
Even so, there's absolutely no reason why City couldn't have had a polite word with Ceferin about what happened in Istanbul and how unacceptable it all was. I wouldn't expect them to go in there like a bull in a china shop - just hand over the extensive report from City Matters along with the articles Rob Draper has written (the only journalist who seems to be fighting our corner on this) and ask him to read through it.
