PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

Stop them from getting in the ground, force them out by any mean necessary (not all of them of course)

I know it's been discussed in the past but City should be following suit with other clubs and banning some of these arseholes from the ground
I sit close to the press box and earlier in the season I confronted them at the end of the game. I stopped and shouted so they could all hear me. " So what shite are you all going to write about us this time " The security were round me in seconds. I am on crutches so didn't provide much of a threat, just verbal. But had to get something off my chest.

I e-mailed the club in 2003 to ask how many loyalty points I had (back in the days when we couldn't easily check online) and I'm still waiting for them to answer
Maybe you e-mail was hacked and intercepted, ending up in LivArpool?
Send a complaint to Cuntz@V1ctimzrus.uk - I'm guessing though that they will have to count again now as you may well have a few more points now?

I am prefacing this post with the observation that I have deliberately kept away from this thread, and have only read the odd post now and again. Plus I have also purposely not read any further than headlines on News pages.
This is because I am at an age where I like to try to keep my blood pressure down as much as possible by not reading things that are going to get my exasperation and rage going!!

Therefore I am just going to ask one question: Do you as a BlueMoon poster/Manchester City supporter feel that City are innocent of all the charges or at least some of the charges?

I would hopefully get a straight yes or no answer as I am not even sure what charges have been brought. Sorry if I annoy some by not wanting to go deep, deep down into 165 or whatever charges. None of us as fans can truly know what the club are doing but do we think they are guilty?

Personally, through my blue tinted City loving glasses I wholeheartedly want to say no we are not guilty but I am realistic enough to know that the powers that be wouldn't open themselves to ridicule by bringing charges if they weren't satisfied that there is some substance. Plus I know how big business works, there are so many things that go on behind closed doors.

However whatever the outcome I will still state we are THE BEST TEAM IN THE LAND AND ALL THE WORLD. :-) CITY FOR EVER.

Personally no I don’t think we are completely innocent, although I don’t think some of it was for our benefit anyway.

I also don’t think we will be found guilty of anything aside from non-cooperation though. I just don’t think even if we were guilty of all of it, it’s even remotely provable by who’s trying to do it and can be judged as such by a premier league independent commission.

It shouldn’t be down to the fans, realistically what are we going to do? Give em the finger whilst they’re chowing down on a prawn and cucumber butty, it’s just more ammo for them to spout shite on twitter which then earns them a nice wedge. Ban them, hit them where it hurts.
We should force them play pass the parcel with a hand grenadine

Least you tried.

Lets assume the PL strategy behind the 115 charges is to attack the Etihad Airways sponsorship in any way possible, eg by attacking contract docs or lack of contract docs, the methods of payments, stated values etc.

Despite some irrefutable facts:-

1 A large part of East Manchester M11 has been named the Etihad campus for a decade.

2 The Etihad Stadium sign is seen by millions of passengers flying into Manchester Airport on the East Manc inbound route.

3 The millions of people who have seen Etihad Airways ads during ACTUAL visits to the stadium for games/concerts etc.

4 The billions of people who have seen Etihad Airways on MCFC Kits during televised games

5 The millions of MCFC/Etihad Stadium references seen daily on digital platforms all over the globe

6 The millions of passengers who have flown on Etihad Airways aircraft painted in the sky blue MCFC livery.

7 Millions of replica kits worn around the world by fans with the ’can’t miss’ Etihad Airways brand on display

Many of of our detractors claim the ultimate owner of MCFC is HHSM who is not just a citizen of the UAE but a member of the ruling family with official state roles. Etihad Airways is actually an Abu Dhabi airline but that makes it a UAE entity. So the IC will rule the Etihad Sponsorship is just a convoluted way for HHSM to pump money into MCFC and is therefore disguised equity funding.

Such a decision would destroy our accounting history. We know in the past the owner of NUFC directly sponsored his club via his business Sports Direct, and the owner of LCFC directly sponsored his club via his business i.e. King Power. Those are two very dangerous precedents for the IC to ignore.

In case anyone hadn't noticed, to this very day our main sponsor is Etihad Airways, that's six years after the date of the most recent PL charges. Are the PL going to demand the sponsorship must cease ?. The damage to Etihad Airways reputation would be huge. How would they respond after spending hundreds of millions of pounds on a long term sponsorship deal that is judged (after 15 years) to be illegitimate by the PL.

The next legal battle would of course be Etihad Airways v Premier League, and if City are not in the PL why would they care what damage was done to the PL ?

Personally I am resigned to this being a battle that will go on for many years to come.

Ever heard the phrase 'keep your enemies close'? It's especially important in business. In the long term it will undoubtedly benefit the club by trying to not let the UEFA relationship completely disintegrate. Love them or loath them, they are our main governing body, the path of least resistance is to try and at least keep the relationship cordial, because they have the ability to causes us considerable long term pain (as we have experienced)
I prefer 'Revenge is a dish best served cold'. No point in the club adding to the red parrot racket at the moment.
Much better to:
Win the case
Let the dust settle
Then one by one ruin the reputations. That will get their attention, wondering if they are the next one.

Would any other global brands put up with all this bullshit, lies and slander from journalists and rivals?

Maybe I’m wrong but I’m sure if companies like Coca Cola, Apple, Amazon, etc were enduring the kind of witch hunt City face they’d have sued all perpetrators for millions.

Why the fuck are we so fucking soft? It’s no wonder cunts like Carragher, Neville and dickhead journos perpetuate their lies and insinuations, they never have to face any challenge.

How about City pay the right kind of people to make up stories about some of our rivals‘ finances, or certain journos cheating on their wives …
I think you are wrong. I watched a documentary about Amazon and how their workers are treated very recently.

We are not soft we will just not be distracted from the business of winning. City fight the battles that can be won and don’t give oxygen to journalists and others that don’t matter. If they get involved in an argument it doesn’t help. This isn’t a playground….though some of our detractors belong there.
