PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

According to the football finace expert on 5 live Monday night club, (sorry forgot his name), Mancini was alledgely receiving two wages concurrently. One official wage as City manager and another wage as manager of a team in Abu Dhabi. He was in Manchester throughout as the City manger and only the City wage was "declared".

And he’d know.

How could a contract with Al Jazeera that pre dates his involvement with City, be of any concern of ours?

1) It doesn't predate his involvement with Manchester City. I don't know why I keep seeing this phrase regurgitated. He signed both contracts on the same day.

2) Because a Manchester City executive wrote an email stating "We have some payments that require to be made by Al Jazira. We will need to send monies to ADUG and ADUG will then pass on to Al Jazira with payment instruction."

That's a Manchester City employee writing that, not an Al-Jazira one.

Very difficult to argue these are 2 unrelated jobs when people from City's holding company are discussing how they'll send money to the second company to pay Mancini.

Loved Mancini - but was he really the worlds most sought after manager at the time he accepted the job at City ? So much so that to lure him we had to pay him a big salary and top it up with secret payments into an offshore account ?

I'm sure the club has acted in a way they think is correct, and have been advised is correct from our legal team. Suggesting anything else sounds like complete nonsense. However, if the party "investigating" you look at every e-mail, invoice, transfer, deal etc with the predetermined mindset "these guys have been cheating" instead of an impartial mindset of "lets determine what has happened here", everything can be seen as "evidence". If you are convinced your girlfriend is cheating on you, her speaking on the phone without you hearing who she speaks to can be seen as "suspicious" considered as "evidence" in your mind as well. When you throw 100+ accusations without even speaking to the other party, your main goal is just to denigrate them by trial in the media and hope something sticks even if there barely is any real evidence. PL informing certain journalists before even speaking to the club implies this is exactly the case. I hope City sue all of them.

Dont care if they relegate us, would actually be fun to see a team like this dominating in the championship:

Trafford
Lewis-TBH-Doyle-JWE
Doyle-Perrone
Palmer-McAtee-Foden
Delap

We need to refrain from the whataboutery, life is full of it and is ignored as and when required.

Don't bother wasting oxygen with people on Twitter or armchair fiscal experts.

When things are serious, people such as President Biden have to jump on a plane to Saudi and fist-bump the Crown Prince to beg for more oil.

Or Trump travels to Abu Dhabi and is told where to sit by Sheikh Mansour.

This is so much bigger than City if it comes to it.

If we think the UK is in trouble now, wait until Sunak picks up the blower and is told £50bn is being invested elsewhere.

Liverpool/rags coming second when you won the league, so wouldn't the title automatically go to them? I know Juventus had to forfeit one of their trophies, plus there's a lot of kopites and rags who seem to believe it'll happen.
Why? If you remove city you have to remove their results no? are the PL going to go back over all those years and determine what would of been had city not been involved? Did we relegate teams? Would they be entitled to sue? What about lost revenue from CL spots? Cup loses etc? It’s a huge can of worms that they’ll not want to open trust me. If it was given to Liverpool as an example would Chelsea, Utd etc just accept that or argue the case? As I say it’s far too complicated and won’t happen. We may get points deducted the next season a huge fine etc or band on signing players for X windows but they’ll not strip us. Add to that we’d contest it and it’d drag on for multiple years.

I do feel kind of sad for the players. Imagine winning a trophy and playing your guts out, only to be told that it doesn't count because your club is going to be penalised and it'll be awarded to Liverpool instead even though they came second.
The good thing is, that won’t happen. Absolutely no way to prove a team that finished second would have won it, had the winner not been there. Also, imagine the can of worms opened on relegation, European places etc.
IF we’re found guilty of anything, and that’s a BIG IF, it’ll be a fine. Guilty of everything it might be relegation and/or points deduction and/or transfer ban.
