The Ceferin thing, while it was more loaded than a few care to admit, and he put a bit of effort into it to make sure it stuck, was ultimately what you could expect someone in his position to say and isn't exactly shocking.

But the way our media have jumped at the chance to headline it and pretty much legitimise it as fact and infer cas got it wrong (something he did not actually do directly) and as such we are clearly guilty, is, well also not exactly unexpected, but pretty low all the same. They have deliberately avoided any sense of balance in it and gone straight for the extreme end of that snippet.

Were we to say be found guilty, and one of the hierarchy to come out and say 'we knew what we did was right', would it get the same 'this was unfair' treatment and affirmation in headlines? Would it fuck, it would get either ridiculed or argued in the subtext. Hell even if we are cleared and say we knew so and stress no wrongdoing, I doubt there will be such one sided headlines without a 'but' thrown at it to leave some sense aftertaste of doubt and bitterness.

What am I missing? We took Ceferin and UEFA to CAS and we won. Why would the words of Ceferin represent anything more than the words of a sore loser? The highest court in Europe for sport has already ruled in our favor. His opinion is not only parochial but lacks any validity. But somehow him saying he thinks we were guilty is treated like some big revelation by the press and these mutts on social media. It's outright comical. There's not an ounce of common sense being applied and it's deliberate.

Last week the big headline was City to be relegated. Never mind the FACT that Stefan Borson's main point on his Talk Shit appearance was that he believed the Prem could not prove their case. Relegation was only mentioned as a possibility if were we to lose. How is that news?

This Terry Flewers on his The Football Terrace stream on YouTube took an email that Nick Harris posted on Twitter relative to our bringing Brahim Diaz to City and spun it into City "trafficking" underage players into our academy. The email says nothing except that we need to be careful to ensure we basically dot our I's and cross our T's in terms of his parents establishing themselves as living in Manchester. How the fuck does this guy have the balls to use a term like trafficking? He goes on to call that demented fuck Nick Harris a very credible journalist several times and he concludes with a statement that this invalidates our entire academy set up and all the benefits we've derived in terms of players and profits from sales.

You can't make this up in terms of the public gaslighting going on day in and day out both in the press and on social media. It does make me wonder if all these assholes were so sure City were guilty of all the things they're being accused of doing why do all this piling on of obvious misrepresentations, exaggerations, and slurs? The lack of objectivity speaks volumes to the fact that they HATE us, simple as. Truth and justice hold no place in any of this for them whether we are guilty or not. It's a disgusting public shaming that's unwarranted and unethical even if we were actually guilty of some misdeeds. But if we are eventually cleared there has to be a reckoning. What that is I don't know, buy I know it can't be forgive and forget, not for me...

The sports journalists (if that's what they are still) in the UK are now at the lowest echelon of the business since it began. The past incidents in this country in sports have helped shape the narrative towards a bias that serves only a select few, allegiances within the sector stand alongside the algorithms that dictate what articles gain more traction

It's all controlled, just the same way the Trump campaign was won with Cambridge analytica - data and a target narrative that will win votes/sympathy on a certain subject

Fake, negative, positive news generates traction because it stirs the thoughts/feelings of those that read and believe it. The algorithms know this and identifies key areas to pump more of the same out there.

ceferin, someone who brought in the uefa rule that would only allow the ruling head of uefa a certain time in charge - so that uefa could not fall under the same spell that Blatter spun at fifa....and what's happening now, ceferin is trying to bypass the rule and stay on longer in power. So this self serving prick has had a hidden agenda all along, so is this guy trustworthy then?. He is seeking power within the game and what part have clubs representatives had in this change of stance, what are the alternative motives in this? There has already been a resignation of one member who has stated his anger at what ceferin is doing, and hints that there are more members not impressed with ceferins actions

There are plenty issues that should be investigated and looked into by so called journalists to uncover what is actually going on within the game. The question many ask is why they don't, are they controlled/manipulated by certain or multiple vetted interests that want the story driven or diverted away from themselves.


Maybe, in this day and age it is going to take individuals to do the investigating and get the news that needs reporting actually out into the open, but the conundrum is..does that pay the bills

Same feeling here. There's definitely a story to be told. Shows me how everyone are sheep much more than I ever thought.
Something else that surprises me is that we are obviously treated differently in their coverage of City, the posion they must speak to each other about our club before they go on air stinks across the whole broadcast. Why has no reporter, pundit, anyone, reported on, written about etc. Its blanket hatred, its a story in itself.
