Ceferin made the comments on purpose. There is absolutely no doubt about that. Ceferin could have easily said no comment or told the reporter not to ask him about Manchester City and FFP. He is a lawyer after all. But he decided to make the most of the opportunity afforded to him by the DT reporter, knowing his comments about City and FFP would be printed.

Doing this after Khaldoon and City held out an olive branch to Ceferin and UEFA, thinking Ceferin and UEFA had moved on and it was over.

Ceferin by his actions has shown it will never be over for him and UEFA after their humiliation at CAS.

Comments made towards Man City by Uefa chief Aleksander Ceferin were ‘staggeringly unprofessional’ and indicative of a ‘megalomaniac’.

That is the view of finance expert Kieran Maguire, who spoke exclusively to Football Insider about Ceferin’s comments about City’s financial breaches.

Maguire believes Ceferin’s comments effectively accused City of being guilty before their independent hearing has even begun.

This is so true. It was a cynical attempt by Ceferin to take some of the pressure off himself because he has been facing an internal challenge to his position within UEFA. He knew precisely what he was doing. Of course the Telegraph flammed it up. Remember UEFA have produced no evidence of any wrongdoing by City. CAS made that clear.

How can Ceferin gain popularity and support from the big clubs in Europe, ahead of his attempt to extend his reign beyond the term of office he himself introduced? Coming out against City is guaranteed to garner support.

I doubt it, as both CAS and even UEFA accepted that Etisalat had met their obligations.

If you know PB it can be discounted. However you'd need to disclose this relationship at the checkout and especially if you get the discount on the back of your 'relationship'.

That 'relationship' could come back to haunt you in years to come if PB is late in submitting his accounts as your discount would then make you a related party in his complex finances.....
