PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

Virtually all clubs have been badly hit by injuries and fatigue. Even Liverpool have now hit a wall. The problem is the absurd schedule, especially the absurd international calendar. Pep will have to use a bigger squad next season than he usually does.
Our injuries have been in the defensive area. 3 operations to key defensive players and a Balon Dor winning defensive midfielder out for the season. Any team would struggle. Take Liverpool for instant. After winning the league in 2020 they lost Dick Van Hype, one player, and their season went to shit , we've lost four. No wonder we've been poor defensively.

Patience never been one of virtues. Hopefully not too long to wait now.

I want the club to litigate against all those who have wronged us especially those poisonous, vitriolic sub amoeba species who as living oxymorons refer to themselves as journalists.

And then go for the Arse, Levy, Dips and Scruffy.

However the truth is that even when we win the damage to the clubs reputation is complete and tarnished for at least two generations. We aren't permanent victims like the Klanfield candle holders who are excused everything on and off pitch by virtue of a second horrendous tragedy which has served to whitewash all previous horrors and any future atrocities caused by / happening to them.
Unfortunately we have allowed the 'tarnished image' mantra to gain traction by not killing the 'germ' at birth by effective media management/damage control.

At 93.20 we were most peoples second favourite team.

We failed to 'institutionalise' and develop that position.

We have subsequently become the most successful club of the decade, decorating world football with brilliance & records in equal measure under the finest coach of many eras.

Centurians.
Fourmiddables.
Doubles.
Trebles.
Quadruples.
Infrastructure Development.

We've failed to 'institutionalise' and develop that position.

City are excellent at many things and atrocious at others, media management and PR being one .

I think so. Could look at giving people time off like a normal workplace then if they can't get a break In the summer.

demanding and receiving absurd wages means they should absolutely expect absurd schedules - I'm sorry, they've all done it to themselves and I for one have NO sympathy whatsoever - the money grabbing turkeys voted for christmas and now they don't like it...

The PL and a clique of rival Club Directors have acted in bad faith from day one. Some of them are still briefing the media. The new narrative is that whatever the result football is the loser. City are “getting off” with it. There is no middle ground with them. The least we should demand is a clear out of the PL Board and new rules on transparency. The PL Board is supposed to act for ALL its members equally.
All members are equal only some members are more equal than others

Here is a quote from a recent tax tribunal involving Phil Thompson

"Thompson would also seek permission from Sky if he was going to work for another broadcaster. The FTT also heard that Sky had the right to require Thompson to express opinions that he did not believe or limit his own opinions. The FTT found that the control Sky had over Thompson’s services was significant."

Confirms what we probably already knew.

Not sure there's much to read into that. It's what you'd expect from a regular presenter contract.

The "express opinions he did not believe" part, is the standard for discussion/phone in programs. Nobody listens to two people agreeing for an hour. Either they take opposing sides of an argument, or one is the devil's advocate.

As for "limit(ing) your opinions, if you're a guest, then you can say something outrageous and just not get invited back (and if it's a legal/offensive issue, you'll hear a quick apology). If you're a regular employee, then they'd be expected to have more control. If Sky had received a letter from City threatening legal action if they said X, then they'd be expected to tell their presenters to limit what they say. We know that happens, as various journalists have said they have to be careful what they say about City.

Lost count the amount of times Ive overheard random conversations about us being cheats , recently was at the airport and overheard a couple chatting to this woman and her young son (who was wearing a city shirt) .... "Bet you wont be wearing that when youre found guilty of cheating"......son was about 8 or 9 ffs , cartel have done their job in tarnishing the best side the premiership has ever seen , I really do hope the club come out fighting after all this shit is done with
