PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

Cheers for sharing, mate. Much appreciated. If we do get fined it won’t be the overwhelming victory many have been hoping for, but perhaps a clean sweep of all the charges was never a realistic aspiration!
A multi year witch hunt is always gonna find something- any of the other PL clubs subjected to this type of scrutiny would be found guilty of something.

Soft signals, hard signals. Just not worth getting carried away with anything you hear until the verdict comes out.

If it's a bad one, it will feel bad enough without having convinced yourself that we're going to be cleared. And even worse if you've started shooting your mouth off about how we're going to be cleared.

Hopefully not too long to wait now. Tuesdays good for me as I have a day off work.

Of course, I'm currently in the process of gifting David Silva the shirt he wore back in the 12/13 season from the away Madrid game, which I hoping to do in person, he actually doesn't have many shirts from his time with us believe or not, but that's another story, so from a conversation I had yesterday with someone who works within the club, who mentioned it will end up just being fines from the PL, mostly the silly charges they added, which we will then appeal.

I don't know anything more other than that conversation I had yesterday, although I wish I hadn’t posted anything as some of the response is bonkers, I’ve never posted anything about it before and find the whole thing boring and tiring listening to every dickhead who’s knows nothing having a free pop at us but was a little giddy yesterday, and tipsy that it’s soon coming to an end.

I hope the club rip every man and his dog to shreds after it for putting us all through this tiresome bullshit which by the look of this thread has seriously affected some people's mental health.

I long for the days when it was all about 22 men kicking a ball about, and what you got, you got, and then just got on with it !!
Don’t doubt what you say, but query how could your sauce possibly know about possible sanctions when all the indications are that the tribunal is simply considering liability at this stage??

My fingers have been well and truly burned with the likes of Kaka and Messi. I won’t believe it until it’s either a very solid source or the PL/City announce it.

I would be amazed if we had a clean sweep. Like last time they will probably get the none cooperation charges to stick.

For anyone at City who is in a position in the organisation that is so high to be privy to any information about the outcome of the tribunal to say we will get a fine for one of the silly chargeses is total bullshit.
Am I right in saying if we’re only found guilty for non co-operation we can’t receive a points deduction as there’s no sporting advantage linked to those charges?

I’d imagine our board/lawyers will have an idea of potential punishments for a number of different outcomes.

(a) this isn't arbitration

(b) the document containing the decision will be a large one, because there is a lot to discuss. Checking a document that size for typos, spelling mistakes, basic factual errors etc will not be a short job.

I would imagine the lawyers and the parties will know at least 7-14 days before the outcome is announced. That is the period in which, if we have lost, the PL will leak it.
I think it is arbitration

Rule X in the Premier League Handbook 22/23 states that it will be done in accordance with the Abitration Act 1996

Spot on mate.
The greatest continuous success of any English football team and it is being made to look a bit iffy, just to spoil our time in the sun.
It reminds me of the 'cakegate' season where everyone was buzzing (well I was) having just won the league and Yayas' agent moaned about a bloody birthday cake!
A real pisser.

I've no idea but sure I read one of the charges related to the length of the grass didn't meet requirements.
The original charge sheet referenced a rule number relating to the grass length in error which was corrected the same day.

The verdict will not contain a punishment, fine or otherwise, that will have to be a separate ruling afterwards if applicable.

I certainly oh am not getting carried away - there’s too much at stake to be certain about anything at the moment - but for me this is another soft signal and the sort of headline we haven’t seen until this last week or two.

Hi Chris, I'm sure the process is long and set in stone but if things are legally judged ie an individual decision made why cannot that process be written up concurrently with arriving at a decision,?
