PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

I see this ex CEO or what ever he was from Everton has suddenly become the press/media expert on Citys case. He is popping up every with his views on City , Leicester, Newcastle, Chelsea etc. Seems the press/media have decided he is a ffp expert

None of that is anything to do with my point .....
I mean I’m not sure what your point was….

Your post was that the PL is in a bit of a mess and needs some leadership but this is a multi billion pound business with the issue I already commented on - their ‘customer base’ switched extremely rapidly from a core group of Utd, Liverpool, Arsenal & Spurs pushing to ‘stop’ City to suddenly City being the kingmakers with Utd, Chelsea, Newcastle all in their corner and Liverpool coming around as they can’t afford to be left behind.

It’s like the market overnight deciding the Mach 3 was overkill and we all wanted Bic razors instead, Gillette would look like a bunch of twats for plowing money into R&D on an outdated concept.

All these ‘leaks’ on supposed proposals leave me wondering if the end game for the red cartel and Smithers is to get the EPL to turn round and say that due to confusion amongst its members, surrounding the current rules then everyone starts with a clean slate from next season.
City never get to defend themselves so the shadow hangs forever giving them the high ground for evermore.
Every club has a shadow, to be honest I'd take that just to get all the shit out of the way.

Bad mouthing piss spitters don't really matter.

The problem with the media for me is quite simply that they have forgotten that their opinion is not news, the event that happened is news and their spin on it is secondary.
Exactly correct.
Views of news presented as news.

Clickbait rules. Find out who are your audience then bend the news to attract their interest.
Flavour the headline with lies or at best misleading RE content etc..

I thought my point was pretty clear, to be honest. Masters has presided over the creation of a complete pig's breakfast, these last twelve months or so especially.

I didn't mention a red agenda, although, as you brought it up, you would have to be naïve in the extreme to believe there hasn't been one, up until the last votes, at least, whatever you may think is happening now. I see no fundamental reason for that to change, in all honesty.

And your analogies need a bit of work, imho. If the PL considers the top clubs as their customers, then they have more problems than I thought.

As for the acceptance of City at the big table, I will believe that when the leaks to the press about the ongoing disciplinary process are anything less than 100% negative.

I’m not sure that other clubs have switched behind us and we are the kingmakers. Yes, they are realising that ffp is inhibiting them as we said it would but that’s as far as it goes, as yet.
When we are cleared can you imagine Liverpool saying “It is a good day for football”?

To say that Masters is out of his depth is of course a huge understatement. Wikipedia states that he 'identifies' as an Aston Villa fan. More accurately it should say that he identifies as a puppet with Liverpool, United and Arsenal holding the strings.
