PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

To say that Masters is out of his depth is of course a huge understatement. Wikipedia states that he 'identifies' as an Aston Villa fan. More accurately it should say that he identifies as a puppet with Liverpool, United and Arsenal holding the strings.
as i have said before masters would be out of his depth in paddling pool.

This may be to simple but the the pl are changing the ffp rules because they dont work. So how can they still charge City over rules they now admit arent correct or working ?
Or if Everton or Forest suffer relegation due to points deductions, how can they abolish this? Surely they would be open to all sorts of legal claims ?
The sooner the regulator comes in and the power is equally distributed the better.
If our cases allegedly starts in Autumn and a decision May25 plus appeals we could be nearly two years away and more negative press which we're all drained with.
Brittain and Masters couldn't run a bath and need to get a grip or let this INDEPENDANT regulator do so.
Rant over!

The idea of the 'luxury tax' is fine in principle, but how does it sit with Uefa still having FFP? It doesn't really. Unless they are planning changes as well, anyway.

A couple of points:

First, most of the allegations don't relate directly to breaching FFP, they are for things like providing inaccurate accounts, not disclosing all manager and player remunerations, not cooperating, acting in bad faith, not complying with UEFA requirements, that sort of thing. None of these rules will be changed, I imagine, in any new FFP regime. So no change there.

Second, the law you have to comply with is generally the law at the time of the event. So I think, even if the FFP rules are changed, City would have to comply with the FFP rules in 2013-2018. That doesn't concern us too much (just because of the remote likelihood of any significant sanction), I don't think, but for Everton and Forest, where points deductions could send them down, what does the PL do then? Rescind the deductions, give added mitigation, change to a fine? What a tangled web they weave.

Same with Forest and Everton. The rules will help relegate 1 of those clubs. How is that fair? All because they spent money badly or spent too much?

Financial rule break should be followed by a financial fine.

Wasn’t enough for the baying anti competition mob, like everything else, they wanted to use it to control league positions and punish teams who did not fall into line.

see the problem with the luxury tax is that it is the complete antithesis of what ffp was supposedly designed for which was to stop clubs going into debt, spending above their means and going bust, what they are saying is you can spend whatever you want as long as we get paid too, thats not gonna stop anyone from spending, its just going to mean the pl gets more unearned money and clubs get deeper in debt and continually rob peter to pay paul until as always the whole thing implodes

Because we don't actually want a league which has massive financial disparity. Teams that cost £1000m playing teams that cost £60m does not produce great football. You just end up with 1 team parking 11 behind the ball, wasting time from kick off and making nasty cycnical fouls.
Its a bit disingenuous to say Arsenal's side only cost 60m.
