We all obviously got our knickers in a twist for nothing few months ago.He did slightly stumble on his words when it was first mentioned. You can imagine his brain has reacted to that and he had to hold back on what he wants to say apart from laugh and smile and formulate a response that was not reactionary.


Fuck this panel doing? Playing hide and seek all day. Last one caught gets a grand

Friend of mine had a small company doing desktop/server implementation & support for companies of up to around a couple of dozen people.

He was somewhat surprised to get an RFQ (Request for Quotation) for supply and support of desktops from the 50,000 strong Co-Op. He spoke to them and queried whether they'd got the right person, and they said they had. So he was thinking how to reply and scale up the company and spoke to another company who were medium size but not big enough to supply the Co-Op on their own, looking at a potential collaboration. But they'd also had the same RFQ and were similarly puzzled.

Then they found out that a third company had been sent the RFQ and they were big enough to manage the Co-Op account. They then sussed what had happened, which was that the Co-Op wanted this third company to get the contract but had to put it out for competitive tender, so selected 2 other companies they knew couldn't do it and therefore wouldn't pass the selection process.
