PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

Nothing libel in the article it's just isn't written very well with a lot of "when" that headline is asking when then explaining it all appallingly!

Off the top of my head having only read it once it states:-

City dragged their feet and this is why it took four years for the PL to charge us

That we paid players more than what was in their contracts

That it is only a matter of time before we are punished

All with no evidence to support any of the above.

You should read it. My thoughts below.

The tone of the article is biased. BBC are suppose to be impartial.

It's basically a big fuck off to City and what we've achieved.

It said the fine from CAS was largely due to non co-operation. My understanding is that it was only for that. Nothing else.

It mentions City got off at CAS due to time barring.

There's more but by the time I've written this we could all read it.

I have contacted City's media department and asked them to challenge the BBC about it too.
Link for our media dept mate?

The club’s stance will be on the back of legal advice you don’t pay these KCs and ignore their strategy Once the case is closed then I’m sure the club will have their say anything they do at the moment will be carefully considered and done without drama and in the background
As needy FOC maybe I need something to hang on to some type of action as said FOC and inpatient; )

You are probably right about legal advice. I don’t expect the club to comment on the current procedures but the smearing of our club goes on regardless. This has been going on too long and whose to say that if the club don’t make a stance it just continues till eventually we are ruined.

I've written to Man City's media department asking them to challenge the report. Bearing in mind the BBC are supposed to be impartial, there should be a strong case for this article to be at least edited or even deleted.
The biggest irony is the BBC constantly banging on about its news and current affairs programmes as "Verified".

It's full of mistakes and takes no account of what the CAS judgement said about lack of evidence. A disaster of an article. It is also totally out of context. There is no rationale to randomly publish this article other than to try and damage City. It will have been authorised by someone senior and you can only assume they have acted in bad faith. There is not a single source quoted in it and non of the allegations are even attributed to any source. Nothing is qualified and there is no attempt at balance. It is as if it has been written by a child.

Funny you should say that. I was just thinking I am 100% certain my 11 year old daughters could have written a better article. How can I be so sure? Because I would have exercised editorial control to make sure the article gave a balanced view and all the fucking mistakes were corrected ....

Exactly, all this talk of the club should come out fighting need to remember how the recent statements from Everton, Forest and Leicester have been received.
