PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

No idea reading this over the last few days it doesn’t seem as positive as it was
God knows maybe someone more enlightened will tell us
Nope. There was an overreaction to some positive rumours a week or so ago. Just back in the routine of wait and see now.

Fwiw, putting 2 and 2 together and making 5, my opinion is that the PL still can't prove anything serious and they may be looking for a settlement.
thanks - I hope so

PL rules have been broken though. This is the equivalent in this season's handbook.

Also, I wonder how Chelsea's recent operations are being viewed in the light of B15.2.

Well yes, there may be a case to answer for not opening an investigation. You would think criminal activity one club to another would be a breach of Good Faith.

But the question was why the Liverpool hack wasn't time limited by the PL and could that be used to show double standards with the older City allegations. And the answer is no.

Yes, that is the question, and I understand that the answer is no. But why is the answer no? Why is their breach considered too old to warrant a charge, and our older alleged breach not too old?

What happened to all the positivity and were innocent and just waiting for the PL exit strategy
That seems to have died a death
Everybody on here got giddy after being told last week that City were very bullish and sending legal letters out all over the shop.

That tuned out to be complete bollocks so the giddiness has vanished and everybody is back to shitting it again.

Alberto Galassi, Lawyer and Manchester City board member, said in a Sunday Times interview.

“I am not entitled to discuss this, But perhaps you can tell from my body language I am super confident about the outcome”

Galassi was appointed to Manchester City’s board in June 2012 and is currently serving as CEO of Ferretti Group – a multinational shipbuilding company specializing in luxury yachts. He also practices law, specializing in international commerce and arbitration which gives him unique insights into such matters.

In addition Omar Berrada's defection to scruffy Jim's camp would seem ridiculous if he was complicit in any major wrong doing by City. To a lesser extent, the sames applies to slimey toad Jason Wilcox.

Also, one of our fave posters on here believes the PL have asked City to negotiate a settlement. Our response was along the lines of "get fucked”

Finally, the possible public listing of Etihad Airways is seen as a major positive indicator as their accounts would be opened up for micro
scrutiny.

We don't know the reason an investigation wasn't opened by the PL was due to time limitation, do we? We just know it wasn't opened. In fact, if it wasn't opened, they presumably can't have considered limitation because that would have involved some investigatory work. It's more likely it was to do with the settlement.

Time limitation was one of the issues quoted by the FA as a reason for closing their investigation, but that is a different jurisdiction so you can't really cite inconsistency.

Apologies for going slightly off piste but just wondered what others thought about this conversation me and my brother had last week. We've all been so busy defending the allegations that nobody has really discussed how we should feel if we are found guilty.

Like most of you on here I seriously doubt that our owners would commit such a wide range of fraudulent acts when we really never needed to and I believe we have no reason not to trust Khaldoon when he says we have irrefutable evidence to prove our innocence but just playing devils advocate for a moment...

If we were found guilty and it all comes out that the allegations were true and it was proved beyond all doubt that our owners used tactics to circumnavigate/break the rules to gain a sporting advantage - how would you feel about our owners after such a judgement and would you just forgive them for tarnishing our clubs name because we won some (well quite a lot) of trophies?

Would any of you be angry with our owners for taking the club we have loved all our lives and dragging it through the mud for commercial gain and leaving us as fans to deal with the shit show it leaves behind (as we are now)? I feel there would never be any coming back from it as every success from here on out would just be met with the old 115 cheat tag from rivals a they are doing now before our case has even been heard. It would almost be like - what's the point anymore, we were better off without the success but our integrity in-tact.

If the owners brought that upon us I just don't know how I would feel about it all. I think it would be fair to be very angry with them.
I think you should read the CAS report and this will help you understand things. Unless there is new damning evidence, there are reasons to be cheerful right now. City have the best owners in the PL. If you are a WUM you should probably swan off sick boy.
